We are gassed to announce that our second release in the "Sonic Synthesis" series is now live on all platforms! "ROOTS" features explorations of sleep paralysis, dreams, and escapism from duos SINDYSMAN & China Lilly and Micco & Elias
On “Pillow Talk” China Lilly adds a surreal sweetness that almost seems alien and misplaced in the debaucherous, drug fuelled pictures that SINDYSMAN paints in his lyrics.
Micco & Elias’ original song “Dream Culture” features a buttery smooth jazz hip-hop beat from Elias and a cozy, effortlessly braggadocious flow from Micco.

China Lilly’s voice can be described as smooth & honey-like while Sindysman flow is Slowthai-esque, raw & slurred. All held together over spacey, futuristic R&B instrumentals.

After the great reception for Sonic Synthesis: Stems were extremely excited to be announcing the first pair of artists for our 2nd release of the year Sonic Synthesis: Roots with the first being Micco & Elias;
Micco and Elias come together to create two authentic smooth tracks reflective of a fusion of hiphop and the underground electronic sounds of the South West. With lockdown keeping them inside Micco said “we wrote the track during lockdown where a lot of restrictions took place and so the song is essentially about travelling. When you can’t go anywhere physically you have to kind of internalise it and still find a way to travel, so that’s why we thought- dreams. It’s a limitless world that you can exist in and that means everything during lockdown.”

“STEMS” is coming out on April 14th and will be the first in our “Sonic Synthesis” series. We've matched up artists to work on this latest collaborative concept which will see each pair exploring the space between their distinct sounds by creating an original track each, before handing their stems to their partner to be reworked into something new!

We're so excited to let you know about "Sonic Synthesis", the 4th collaborative project from Rhythm Lab Records!
For this series of releases, we've paired up artists and asked them to explore the space between their distinct sounds by each creating a new original track and then handing the stems to their partner to remix. The result will be a 4 track EP from each pair that will blur the lines between their respective genres and bring new inspiration to the artists taking part.
Sonic Synthesis will also feature a re-issue of a track from a seminal Manchester record label, along with a fresh remix by an up & coming producer we can't wait to reveal!

Our final full music video is out today from the our recent 'Co-Lab Theory' project over at Reform Radio (which saw 8 established music industry names mentor 8 upcoming artists from across the city, working alongside 8 visual artists to create some amazing audio-visual collaborations!).
Today we're dropping the fully animated video for Superlative X Mr. Scruff, entitled 'Read All About It' which has been lovingly produced by Rosie Eliza of 21st Century Tribe and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do! Link below.

We're super excited to unveil the fourth and final spotlighted track from our recent 'Co-Lab Theory' project over at Reform Radio, which saw 8 established music industry names mentor 8 upcoming artists from across the city, working alongside 8 visual artists to create some amazing audio-visual collaborations.
Today's release is from none other than Superlative X Mr. Scruff, entitled 'Read All About It', for which a great fully animated video (preview below) will drop from 21st Century Tribe next week. This final spotlight installment appears ahead of the release of the full project on 30.09.
