We could get a sneak peek of ourselves through others’ eyes if we’re lucky. Words fall short, but we attempt to reach for one another nonetheless.

vii M performs four tracks of her debut album for us to observe planet “Sublunary” in its new life form, accompanied by keyboardist Jade Che, guitarist Jun Xiao, and drummer Guojun Yu.

“Following the premise of the original project, a glass helmet is crucial for survival on this planet, but I’d like to further emphasize that refracting is something that’s happening every second on the surface of this sphere due to the its nature —— a prism. By rearranging and performing the music of “Sublunary” live, I feel that I’ve done my part of the aforementioned refracting as a habitant.” —— vii M

At dusk in Shanghai, thousands of apartment lights shine like stars; each a sun with a orbiting cast of lives. Under the light of my personal sun during the 2020 lockdown, I started work on this EP with sonder on my mind.

I endeavored to give carte blanche to my daydreams and started to sculpt my selected drafts for Sonder. Instead of the usual limits I put on my music creation process, which are often just glorified live recordings, I wanted to see what could happen if I instated a hyperactive attention to detail; rerecording and attentively retooling the instruments.

I welcome you to peer into my little apartment window, a speck among multitudes, and hope you enjoy the little world I created to try and silence my mind.

💜 First time talking about love openly in his music.
💙 It's the time when 王毅 ( Wang Yi ) dares to experiment with sounds that he usually is far from.
💝 "love, love, love" - an ode to love in the form of 10 songs.

"love, love, love" is an ode to love in all its aspects. From the most painful side of it to the hopeful and positive one.

This album contains 10 songs that narrate the feeling of the author towards love itself, the lack of it and the searching process.

"love, love, love" is the first full album by 王毅 ( Wang Yi ) aka SAN LOU, more known as the singer and guitar player of the band Shanghai Qiutian that released via Eating Music.

In this album SAN LOU tried to explore other types of sounds and styles while writing the songs. From the more minimalistic tracks to bigger electronic music influence.

The album is coming in a pink vinyl format with a carefully designed artwork including pictures taken by Iker Gozategi, a renowned European photographer.

Loops - be inspired, circulate & build, are the perceptions of music space;
Loops - talk with reality, seeming like simple translation, will sublimate after triggering;
In Her Way - is the journey "She" leads to explore inherence and try different combinations of notes.

After a year and a half, we seem to have entered a familiar cycle again, and her "little circles" have also arrived at the time to continue...
These Loops, intertwined and invisibly rooted in the gaps of her life, have not been discarded, have not been ignored, but have gained more shapes...
Only let go of the inertial reliance on any truth, can one catches these fragments to record the dull and special moments of life...

is usually active as a vocalist, leading and participating in many wonderful collaborations and band works, striving to be a musician who positively digs the soil and follows the natural growth. Since 2019, she started to explore music production, using the sample sequencer combined with DAW for "self-development", extracting motivation, kneading, shaping and seeking fun from various accumulated musical experiences. The 11 colorful tracks with staged personal emotions were completed between 2020 and 2022 constituting another self-contained collection of her musical journey that does not need to be defined by genres.

"5 Loops in Her Way" released as a sequel in the summer of 2022, and this chapter will be combined with "4 Loops in Her Way" and two more bonus tracks in the cassette form.

“Lockdown Loops is a collection of my daily improvisations while confined to my apartment in Shanghai during the Spring of 2022. These raw one take live recordings are a mix of music I made to sooth myself with peaceful vibes, to voice a sense of creeping doom, and to send my mind away as I stared into middle space.
I put this mix together just to listen to my practice but, as empty days stretch on, it gave me a needed sense of purpose to organize them into a release and to hope I could spread some calming vibes.”

Eating Music, an independent/electronic music label based in Shanghai, China, was established in early 2018. Since 2019, the label release an anniversary compilation of "... with Friends" with different concepts and themes at the beginning of each year, inviting multiple artists participation, as a stage record of the label and a concentrated presentation of diverse styles. The three compilations of "Eating", "Dreaming" and "Living" have been released so far, and the latest work "Drifting" is out in 2022.

A compilation conceived with the starting point of "Spiritual Convergence". It invites friends all over the world to participate. It re-establishes connections and dialogues that transcend space and voice through music, and it is also expected to be fully presented of the ideal concept of "Floating Freely-Meeting Friends with Music". At the same time, Eating Music hopes that through this compilation project, more people will understand the label's insistence and attempt to "Music can eliminate all boundaries".

All tracks are composed, arranged, and mixed by the corresponding artist of the track.
