The snow season is well past its peak, but if anyone would still like to get a few days of skiing or snowboarding in, later this week would be a good time to go to Hakuba in Nagano Prefecture. Snow is forecasted for Wednesday, which is a public holiday (so the town is likely to be busy). If you think you might like to read it in the future, you can "buy" it (free) now and download and read it in the future if you want to. You do need to have an Amazon account to "buy" it and an app to read it, but it's totally free (no credit card or payment is needed).

This book has been fully updated in November and December 2022, following the re-opening of Japan to foreign tourists.
