There is undeniably a house in Huntington Park, California that carries an eerie presence. Located within its walls lies an ominous presence, which has drawn the attention of investigators and interviewees alike. Our team, made up of , psychic medium, and podcast embarked on a quest to explore the depths of this haunted abode, determined to unravel its elusive secrets. With attention to detail, we conducted interviews with those who have lived there and are currently living there. From their bone-chilling accounts, it became clear that the house was indeed a hub for unexplained phenomena; inexplicable shadows roaming the halls, disembodied voices, unsettling messages, and objects mysteriously shifting in place without any form of human intervention. Young and struggling, Elizabeth Short poses outside John Marshal High School, in Los Angeles. Still there. From the new book Tragic Hollywood Beautiful Glamorous and Still Dead: Around this time, a set of photos was taken of Beth posing at John Marshall High School in the Los Feliz neighborhood of LA. They are low quality and poorly composed, but are some of the few photos taken of Beth from this period. Bad as they are, they offer a rare glimpse of this girl, who did not have enough money to buy professional headshots, and had to settle for snaps taken as a favor by an amateur. They are grainy and blurred but there she is—splendid in her pushup bra and impossibly cinched waist—giving the camera a seductive, sideways glance. She probably intended these photos for a portfolio to help her launch her acting career, or at least secure an agent. Instead, they would end up being offered as part of a gruesome banquet of postmortem details by the press, for the public to gorge themselves on. They are pathetic, seductive, and haunting. If you squint, you can see death’s shadow behind her.
