𝗧𝗜𝗣𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗖𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗦 (Save this post)

If visiting the Acropolis in Athens, Greece is on your bucket list, I've got some tips for you.

I did the hard work so you don't have to.

🇬🇷 FIRST, PURCHASE YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE. Trust me you're going to save a lot of time. We stood over 30 minutes in line to purchase our tickets which could have been done online if we had only known. I recommend getting the combination ticket that allows you to visit several different historic sites around Athens in a 5-day period for €30.

🇬🇷 VISIT AS EARLY OR AS LATE AS POSSIBLE. They are open everyday from 8 AM to 8 PM, with summer closing at 7:30 PM (April to October). Winter hours are 8 AM to 5 PM with the last admittance at 4:30 PM. Lines are long and you can be in line for over an hour if you get there after 9am as that's when the tour guides are also there with their tours.

🇬🇷 WEAR APPROPRIATE CLOTHING. There is no shade so don't forget your sunscreen, hat and sunglasses. We visited this October and temps were in the upper 70°F. Also wear comfortable shoes, preferably sneakers. Be sure to check the weather before leaving your accommodations.

🇬🇷 DON'T FORGET THE MUSEUM. I really would recommend doing this first as it really helps you to understand what you're seeing unless you're with a tour guide. The museum is very close to Acropolis (about a 5 minute walk) and you won't regret it. Admission €10.

You'll love visiting and I would say if you manage to avoid the crowds this may take you about 1½ - 2hrs max. If there are any questions you may have, be sure to leave them in the comments and I'll answer as soon as I can. Happy Travels!a

Let's talk about skin care. Actually, let's delve into specifics and let's talk about eczema.

Many of you may not know this, but I have eczema. It started when I was pregnant with my son, Mikael. 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧'𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗟 𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗡𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗧?

I can't believe it's been more than 2 months since I shared something here on my IG feed. Lately, it's been all about the stories.

But we're packing our suitcases once again because in 48hrs we'll be back in the air and in a brand new country in my quest of fulfilling my 50 countries before 50.

We've become pros at packing and in all the years I've been traveling I've only forgotten something once. My camera charger with batteries and luckily my ex was able to FEDEX it overnight to my destination in Canada.

There are a few things I never leave home without. My phone being the main thing, but I always have my MacBook Pro with me as well, because even when I'm on vacation, I'm at work. Something I need to stop doing.

As a travel writer, I'm always thinking up stories to write about while I'm traveling so my camera is always on hand to snap random photos that I'll be using in posts.

AD. It's officially summer and I'm not one to slave away in the kitchen, so having easy-to-make meals for me and the family is the way to go!

If you're looking for something both nutritious and filled with protein to keep your energy up to deal with the kids now that they're out of school, then these bowls are just what you need. I've been encouraging Madison's individuality, but she somehow wants to dress like me. I'm flattered as my oldest daughter and I have two completely different style.

Not sure how long this phase will last but I'm enjoying it while it does.

Father's Day is this weekend and we have no plans, but here's to all the great dads and the not-so-great ones.

Swimming with dolphins has always been a dream of mine, along with skydiving.

When we visited Dubai a few years ago, we booked a dolphin experience at the Atlantis Palm. It was truly an experience and one I would do again.

When it comes to travel, I try and give my little one experiences that she'll always remember. People would ask, "Why do you travel with Madison as much as you do? She won't remember." My answer is always "Even if she won't remember everything, I will". That's why I take a million photos, its my way of documenting our trips and the serve as memories.
