Call for Submissions –– "Legislating Bodies"
Reproductive rights are under assault in the US—an attack that strikes at the heart of bodily autonomy for anyone who can get pregnant and for anyone who challenges the gender binary, especially those from poor communities and/or communities of color. 7x7 seeks submissions of visual art and writing that speak to this important and frightening moment. We would love to see any work on the following subjects/themes: abortion, pregnancy/childbirth, parenthood, gender, the body, gender-based violence, the gender binary, and the intersection of any of these subjects with race and class. We welcome submissions from all genders, and particularly welcome submissions from writers of color and working-class writers. As ever, we hope to use our space to create community and inspire others to meaningful action. Tentative submissions deadline is July 10th. Send your submissions to [email protected] !
