Heartfelt congratulations to the Downtown Lynchburg Association Launch LYH 2024 winners!

Selected applicants participated in a comprehensive eight-week educational course, provided by the Small Business Development Center – Lynchburg Region. Participants then submitted business plans and presented their concepts at a competitive pitch night event. A panel of local business experts chose the winning concepts based on their innovative ideas, strong business models, and demonstrated commitment to contributing to the vibrancy of Lynchburg's business community. The total grant funds of $100,000 were divided equally among the winners.

We can't wait to see them thrive in our community.

“It’s a reflection of my own journey of tragedy to triumph,” she said.

Offering products that are 100 percent homemade, cruelty free, and featuring only natural ingredients, Blakely Bath & Co. in Forest, Virginia, offers everything from soap, face and body creams, and body scrubs to pain gel and migraine rollers—all made right here in Central Virginia.
