FOOTAGE: Super Typhoon Rai - with winds about 195 km/h - devasted the south eastern islands of the Philipphines. Roofs and walls of houses have been blown and torn apart, trees uprooted and structures destroyed. Fields and boats of farmers and fisherfolks have also been decimated with food and supplies running short. With communications and electricity still down, it is estimated that nearly 300,000 people have been displaced, with nearly 100 confirmed dead and the entire area levelled to the ground. #OdettePH

Episode 2 of Navigate ASEAN is OUT NOW!
Just before the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26), we spoke to Jasmin Irisha, a Youth Climate Advocate from Malaysia, and also a Climate and Environment Consultant at UNICEF about eco-conscious living and the climate crisis.
Climate change is widespread, rapid, and intensifying, and some trends are now irreversible, at least during the present time frame, according to an Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, released in August.
The UN Secretary-General António Guterres said the report was nothing less than "a code red for humanity. The alarm bells are deafening, and the evidence is irrefutable".
The recent COP26 closed with a “compromise” deal on climate, but it’s not enough, said Guterres.
In this episode, Jasmin calls on world leaders for urgent action to address the climate crisis.
