Who Are We?
“Nitchi” [pronunciation: neet-she] in Japanese ニッチ – or “niche” in English. Welcome to Nitchigamer!
Our blog values what we like to call the ‘other games’, the alternative to the mainstream. In our case, we focus on Nintendo games, Indie games and VR games.
What do all of those have in common? Well, they all do something a little bit different than the rest:
Nintendo, for better or worse, marches to the beat of their own drum. They usually create offbeat, highly original games in a family-friendly tone.
Indie games are often experimental, obscure and hugely creative. Some of the freshest experiences these days come from these talented people. (In our opinion, of course!)
VR is at the start of its journey, but already we’re seeing incredible and unique games that have to be experienced. Tetris Effect anyone?
An exciting group, that’s for sure. If you feel the same way, then you’re probably in the right place.
Lastly, we aim to bring a more balanced approach to the ongoing world of video games and the many exciting stories that they tell.
