It's been a minute, right?

Well, I've been experiencing burnout, apathy, and weariness. And I've been witnessing so many around me express the same. Sometimes a break coupled with a huge change is *needed.* And on that note:

I invite you to a 10-week cohort created for the support, nurturing, and healing of Black women and femmes. 7 of my favorite healers, educators, practitioners, and friends have come together to develop workshops designed for our collective healing and growth. It's going to be a magical time.

“Curiouser and curiouser!”

The Unbirthday Tea Party is back!

Bring your best Alice in Wonderland lewks and your strongest constitution as we sip high tea, nibble on some delectable edibles, browse vendors, and enjoy a live performance from a special guest.

A selection of tea will be provided, including both caffeinated and non-caffeinated teas. Noms will include scones, tea sandwiches, and a main entree — with both infused and non-infused options available! You will also be provided takeaway sample bags of teas accoutrements and infused goodies.

ACCESSIBILITY: This event is mainly outdoor under canopies, with access to indoor bathrooms via stairs only. Rain date is Sep 21. COVID rapid testing required before event - a limited number of tests will be provided for those without access.

Happy Wednesday yall! Are you ready for the next session of Show Me The Ropes: Yoke Me Up! before we take our summer break?

We'll be building on all the skills we've learned as teaches us how to create both a chest harness and a b***y harness. Yoke Me Up! Sunday, July 21st at 2pm EST.

In the United Kingdom, high teas are a tradition that dates back to the late 19th century. High tea was traditionally served 'High', meaning at a high table with high back chairs. They usually consist of a hearty meal and a pot of tea.

Join us as we subvert tradition with a classy infused high tea. Bring your fancy dress and your strongest constitution. 🍃Event opens to the general public this coming Sunday!

It is most fitting that I share this today, seeing as it is the celebration of another trip around the sun for this most wonderful human being.

A native of Dominica, Lotus RopeWolf is an avant-garde rope artist whose philosophy around kink is heavily influenced by Audre Lorde’s essay, “Uses of the Erotic”. He believes in creating moments of intimacy that are positive and life-changing. This philosophy guides him as he navigates his own freedom, living as a q***r Black man in the B**M lifestyle.

Our tri-weekly series Show Me The Ropes: A BIPOC Rope Skillshare is back with a review session! Join us on June 30 as Minxy reviews the ties already covered and talks about using hitches, frictions, and countertension & how learning to combine these techniques helps you to develop your own unique flow.

🪢Review square knot, larks head, single & double column ties
🪢Review half hitches, munter hitches, figure 8 x friction
🪢Learn some drills for practicing the basics

Skill level: Beginner-intermediate
Materials: 2-3 30ft bundles of rope

Bottoms Up! This upcoming session is for the rope bottoms, yall!

It's gonna be led by none other than the DMV owns Doll Faced Gremlin, The Highly Melanated Mega Geek of Your Multiverse, !

Maki (she/her) is an award winning performance artist, event coordinator, and pop culture entrepreneur. The Washington DC native started her creative journey in 2010 as a cosplayer and nerdlesque performer and soon branched out to guesting, hosting, and curating programming for conventions and alternative events. Maki combines her geekiness and self-taught artistic skill to build innovative performance and visual art experiences across mediums, including rope.

As a ki****er, she has been a featured instructor at Rope Craft Chicago, and has performed for Dark Odyssey Winterfire (DC), The Haux Hive (DC), Black Q***r Dom Society (DC), and Southern Decadence (NO). She was also a featured model for Sarle Jeffries’ “What Are You Bound To?” exhibit in New York City.

She is the current Executive Producer and Owner of the historic International Nerdlesque Festival, and producer of DC Braulesque, a monthly Nerdlesque brewery experience at DC Brau.

I'm so excited to host this informative class & skillshare, and provide more resources for rope bottoms specifically.

No ropes required (although I will be tying afterwards and encourage others to do so as well!)

🪢focusing on how to prepare yourself for various kinds of scenes
🪢discussing how scenes differ from creative flow/exchange

NEW POLYCULE CHART JUST DROPPED!

**𝘔𝘺 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦 - 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘰𝘸𝘯, 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘦 𝘢 𝘋𝘔 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐'𝘭𝘭 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘭 & 𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴!**

I love connections (I mean, I wouldn't be polyamorous if I didn't lol), and get wrapped up in visualizations - charts, graphics, anything that helps you see the data. So when my platonamour started making polycule charts for himself, I had to get one for me.

Here they are, in all their cartoon glory. My loves (& their partners/connections). These people hold me together, support me, uplift me, delight me, enhance my life. I do all I can to maintain and nurture my relationships with them because I adore them with all my heart and want them in my life for a good long time.
