Happy New Month of November.

As we are entering the final stretch of the year 2024, I hope this month brings you an abundance of blessings, fulfillment, and joy. May each day in November offer you fresh opportunities, inspire you to keep moving forward, and bring you closer to your dreams and goals.

Let’s make the most of this beautiful month by staying positive, supporting one another, and appreciating the journey we are on. Likewise, as we are going to the polls in some days in Ondo State, I pray for peace and the success of the elections.

Wishing us a blissful month of November..

*NIGERIA AT 64: BOD URGES POLITICAL LEADERS TO PRIORITIZE THE COUNTRY'S GROWTH*

On this special occasion of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day, Bolaji Omotayo Daramola, has called for a united front in tackling the country’s challenges, while urging the leaders to design workable policies to scale up the country economy not just on paper but in reality.

As we celebrate, it is also a time to reflect on the journey ahead. Our nation is blessed with immense potential—both in human and natural resources. But to truly unlock this potential, it is imperative that our leaders place the welfare of Nigerians at the forefront of their policies and actions. The well-being of every Nigerian, irrespective of background or status, should be a top priority in governance.

We need to focus on policies that foster economic growth, create job opportunities, and reduce poverty. The development of critical infrastructure, access to quality education, affordable healthcare, and sustainable agriculture are essential for building a prosperous future for our nation. Equally important is the need for security and peace to ensure every citizen can pursue their aspirations without fear.

As we mark Nigeria’s 64th anniversary of independence, BOD further urged every Nigerian to remain hopeful and steadfast in the belief that, with the right leadership and collective effort, a brighter and more prosperous future is possible.

He also noted that, it is imperative for us to work together in unity and determination to make Nigeria a country we can all be proud of—one that truly serves the interest of its people and upholds the values of justice, equity, and progress.

Happy Independence Day, Nigeria!

Welcome to September.

This is another month to thank God for His faithfulness, for keeping and blessing us since the turn of the year.

The new month is a time to reflect on our achievements, and not to pressure ourselves on what we haven’t achieved.

I want to encourage us to remain steadfast in all we do as the desired victory is always closer.

One at a TIME.

Losunla FC Wins the Inaugural Edition of BOD Ward 9 Unity Cup in an exciting cracker with Sokoti FC.

Losunla FC have clinched the BOD Ward 9 Unity Cup after a tense penalty shootout victory over Sokoti FC.

The final, held at Ogo Olorun Primary School Field in Losunla, ended in a 1-1 draw. Sokoti took an early lead, but Losunla fought back to even the score just before the end of the second half.

Losunla clinched victory in the shootouts. It was a highly entertaining match, with spectators kept on their toes throughout the encounter.

After the presentation of the awards to exceptional players, cash prizes, and the trophy, there were huge celebrations in and around Losunla Street, as it turned into a carnival-like atmosphere due to the excitement of the people in the ward. They noted that the competition was the first of its kind in the history of the area, and it has really brought unity among the youths as they all worked together for success.

The 8 participating teams thanked Bolaji Omotayo Daramola (BOD) for the gesture and enjoined him to extend this gesture to other parts of Ondo Kingdom.

The organizer, while giving his speech through his elder brother, Mr. Toyin Daramola, charged the youths to be steadfast and to keep being united in their pursuit of greatness. He also added that political parties should not be a tool to divide the youths, emphasizing that "all of us are brothers and we must stay united at all times, irrespective of political affiliations".

The event had in attendance notable figures in Ondo Kingdom, as the Member of House of Representatives, Hon. Biola Makinde, was represented by Hon. Moyinolorun Ogunwunmiju, ODHA Member Representing Ondo West Constituency 1, Otunba Ade Adeniyi, former ODHA Member, Hon. Maxwell Adelosoye, Transition Vice Chairman Ondo South West LCDA, Hon. Azeez Ademoloye (AZ), Hon. Babatunde Fakiyesi, Transition Secretary Ondo West Local Government, Hon. Chief Patrick Ogunmoyero, Hon. Rotimi Akinnola, Comrade Kayode Folajogun (Ondo Ekimogun Youth Congress President).

PRESS RELEASE

BOLAJI OMOTAYO DARAMOLA (BOD) LAUNCHES SKILL ACQUISITION SCHEME TO TRAIN OVER 200 ONDO YOUTHS

In a bid towards empowering the youth and enhancing sustainable development, BOD is proud to announce the launch of a comprehensive skill acquisition scheme aimed at training over 200 youths across Ondo East and West. This initiative, which commenced in June, aligns with BOD’s commitment to SDG 1: No Poverty and the creation of a viable society.

The scheme has already seen over 30 enthusiastic youths selected and immersed in various training programs. These youths are currently receiving hands-on training from experienced teachers and masters across diverse fields. The training is designed to span six months, during which participants will gain practical skills tailored to their specific interests and career aspirations.

Following the initial training phase, the youths will undergo an intensive digital marketing program. This additional training aims to equip them with the necessary skills to market their products and services effectively using social media and other digital platforms. By integrating traditional skill acquisition with modern digital competencies, BOD ensures that the youths are well-prepared to thrive in today’s competitive market.

This project reflects BOD's dedication to its cardinal projects and reflects his commitment to creating opportunities for youth empowerment. The initiative not only addresses immediate skill gaps but also sets the stage for long-term economic growth and sustainability in the region.
