Austin rolled out the red carpet for a glamorous event celebrating the premiere of "The Verdict," a captivating new film shot entirely in the heart of the city. The cast and crew, along with their families and friends, gathered for an exclusive first look at this thrilling courtroom drama.
Hosted at a stunning venue, the event was graced by Shalini, whose house served as a central filming location. Her excitement was infectious as she walked the red carpet, sharing behind-the-scenes anecdotes and highlighting the collaborative spirit that defined the film's production.
Krishna Sankar, the director, brought his 20 years of theater experience to the screen, infusing each frame with his passion for creativity. Originally written as a theater script, "The Verdict" evolved into a powerful cinematic experience, thanks to Krishna's skillful direction and the dedication of award-winning actors.
The producer, Prakash Mohandas, who has long harbored ambitions of bringing such a project to life, emphasized the challenge of completing the film within a tight timeframe. 🎶✨ Last weekend at The Rosette was unforgettable! We were taken on an extraordinary musical journey with Flamenco India, led by the talented Oliver Rajamani, blending Flamenco guitar, Oud, and haunting vocals alongside Rajib Karmarker’s Sitar, Gourisankar Karmarker’s Tabla, Steve Husted’s Bass, and Pablo Lopez’s Percussion. The set at 8 PM was a powerful fusion of sound, connecting the Indian, Middle Eastern, and Iberian roots of Flamenco in a deeply moving way. Oliver’s passionate performance and unique style—blending Gypsy/folk India, Romani, and Texas Americana—captivated the audience, with everyone up and dancing by the end! 🎶💃

For the 9:30 PM set, Rajib and Gourisankar brought the evening to a meditative close with an authentic Hindustani classical performance. Their artistry showcased the depth of Indian classical music, leaving the audience in awe.

We were also treated to a sneak peek of Oliver’s upcoming documentary on Romani culture, offering insight into the musical and cultural heritage that inspired the night.

The Rosette offered the perfect setting—the acoustics, lighting, and ambiance elevated the magic of the night. Austin is lucky to witness evenings like this! 🌌
