om a Brooklyn recording studio that specialized in mixing and mastering for independent and underground artists, Echometrics plunged into the early days of hybrid digital and analog audio by mixing a trademark sound built on legendary outboard gear for truly esoteric finishing touches. We cut our teeth remastering rare New Orleans funk, early Rap/Hip-Hop, and motown-style records sourced from the deep south and reissued. We then expanded to all phases of production. Also in 1999 we launched Purity Records. It was a stinging backlash to the corporate manufactured heavy-rock music of the time. Purity Records was a new approach to NY Hardcore: Groove-based metal-core with a forward-thinking message. We showcased at ABC No Rio, CBGB's, many 'found' spaces, and accross the country.
