Welcome to the world of Korean culture! LAON (라온) is a pure Korean word meaning fun and excitement. As our name of the webzine suggests, we are aiming to provide fun and exciting content to showcase the beauty of Korean culture. Travel websites, government tourism promotion websites are too sticky and hard to actually allow the readers dive into the beauty of Korean culture. However, by having all

of our articles written in high school students' point of view, we believe that young readers would be able to approach Korean culture with a more familiar manner. We want our readers to read our articles in a conversational mode, with our most upheld value of giving happiness and excitement. LAON writers are consisted of writers from Tenafly and beyond, starting as a collaborative project between Tenafly High School and Seoul Global High School. Ads are attached to every article to raise fund to run the website and for the Liberty in North Korea Fund.
