Provincetown is one of the most (if not THEEEE most) LGBTQ+ friendly city ever 🏳️‍🌈

The q***r history of Ptown dates back to the late 1800s! 😱 At that time Provincetown became known as a place for artists, writers, and progressives who were fueling new and inclusive thoughts on gender equality, artistic expression, and s*xuality.

By the 1920s Ptown was already known as a safe and accepting place for the LGBTQ+ community, and after the Stonewall riots in 1969 the city BOOMED due to its q***r activism, culture, and politics 👏🏻

Since then, its still holds the title as one of the most accepting places in the world for the LGBTQ+ community. We have traveled all over the world and never been to a destination where we’ve seen so many q***r couples, q***r families, and q***r friends just living their authentic lives. Being q***r in Ptown is not only accepted, it’s the norm AND the majority. We always feel so safe and comfortable there, and it makes us so happy to see so many different kinds of q***r people thriving there!

People always ask us what it’s like traveling together as a couple, and its magical. But we can of course also get on each others nerves, so here are some of our best tips so we don’t k*ll each other while we travel 😂✨

✨Plan in advanced but don’t plan too much - always leave room for spontaneity and adventure! If something goes wrong you want to be able to have time to adjust!

✨Be prepared - we always have things for emergencies! For example Gabi always travels with a bunch of things for motion sickness since she gets motion sickness! That way wherever we are in the world and no matter what happens we don’t have to stress.

✨Bookmark your food spots in Google maps so no one gets hangry ✨

✨Communicate with your partner on your needs! While travelling you can get swept up in being busy, and if something is wrong you need to be able to express that in a way that’s healthy for you both!

✨Find photo spots & poses in advanced! We like doing this because we already have an idea of what pictures and content we want to make when we get to our destination.

The number 1 question we constantly get asked is what is our favorite destination EVER — and there’s so many reasons why South Africa is at the top of that list 😍🇿🇦

One of those reasons is going on safari, because we think it’s one of the coolest and memorable experiences you could ever do. When you go on safari, the goal is to try and see The Big 5 — which are 🦁🦏🐃🐘🐆. They’re called The Big 5 because back in the day those were the hardest animals to hunt on foot, but now it’s used as the top 5 animals you wanna see on your safari.

There’s nothing more magical than spending time growing together with your favorite person 🫶🏻☀️🌞

Life moves fast, sometimes too fast, but I feel lucky waking up every single day with her by my side. Maybe because I’m starting to realize that a decade together is slowly sneaking up on us, I’ve been feeling so reminiscent of when we first got together, how lucky we are and how much has changed since! We talk about how there was a time as both of us as q***r people thought the kind of love that we have wasn’t possible for either of us, or even something we could have, and I’m so glad we were both wrong about ourselves and what we thought was possible.

I feel lucky for every single day we get to spend side by side in this life, having adventures, living those everyday little moments, being silly together, and living the life of our dreams! 💕

Last week same s*x marriage became legal in Curaçao and Aruba! 🇨🇼🇦🇼🏳️‍🌈

This makes Curaçao and Aruba the 37th & 38th countries to legalize same s*x marriage & we are beyond proud! In a world where it can feel like things are always headed backwards it’s so nice to see important change being made that makes a difference.

We know how hard the locals have been fighting for this and are so happy with what this means for them. You might already know — but Gabi’s family is from and lives in Curaçao, and we both consider Curaçao to be our second home — so this is such a special moment for both of us and all the people of the islands!

We have always felt safe & accepted whenever we visit, but this is just another level of acceptance and equality for all people who call the island home 🇨🇼🏳️‍🌈 We love our little island and we can’t wait to be back so soon 🥹🫶🏻

Kissing in front of rainbows all over the world ✨🌈

We always try and find rainbows wherever we go! But it’s more than just that, whenever we see a rainbow in a public space we feel truly welcomed 🫶🏻

That might seem silly that something so small could make such a big difference, but it’s true! There’s so many places in the world where it’s not legal to be LGBTQ+, and people can’t live their lives authentically. So a rainbow reminds us (and everyone else) that all are welcome there 🫶🏻🌈

We love you Brooklyn Pride! 😍🌈✨🚖

Brooklym Pride is one of our favorite events during Pride Month! Most people know about NYC Pride which is usually the last Sunday in June, but every NYC Borough (and even more neighborhoods!) have their own Pride celebrations as well! 🏳️‍🌈

We adore because is feels so much more local, grassroots, and community oriented than other prides. Almost everyone marching is a local organization that has direct ties to the community 🫶🏻 And Brooklyn Pride is always held in the neighborhood where we live which makes it even more special for us 🥹

If y’all know the story of how we met, you know that we met AT New York Pride, so attending Prides and Pride Month is always so magical for us. First Pride of the month ✅! Can’t wait to see what other Prides we are able to attend this year! 🏳️‍🌈

What does pride mean to us? EVERYTHING ✨🌈

Pride reminds us of how far we’ve come — from being young and in the closet thinking that we would never be able to live a life authentically and that people like us didn’t exist, to being able to be happily married as wives travelling the world together! And we wouldn’t be who we are today without our chosen fam and our community that we love and support and who love & support us back 🤍

We will never stop fighting for the rights of every single person in this LGBTQ+ community, for more representation of q***r stories, and for the right for everyone to travel this world being authentically themselves. That was always our goal when we started 27 Travels back in 2016, to make this world a little brighter & better for the q***r community 🫶🏻🏳️‍🌈

PRIDE MONTH IS HERE! our favoriteeeee time of year 🥹🏳️‍🌈🌈

If you’re someone who is wondering why Pride Month important, we’re gonna tell you why:

For starters — currently right now at this exact moment there are 515 anti-LGBTQ+ bills just in the United States and over 100 specifically attack trans people and their safety. There are also over 64 countries in the world where homos*xuality is illegal, and there are STILL places in the world where simply being gay can face jail time (or even worse in some countries… )

It can feel like a burden to be q***r person in this world — but that’s why living authentically as q***r people and showing the world we are HAPPY and THRIVING is so important! 🌈✨ We need representation of our community succeeding, living our lives, and experiencing happiness & pride month is just a part of that.

Hope this helped anyone reading to understand why pride is just so important, it’s not just a “fun party” but more a chance to experience joy in our communities, celebrate life & continue to fight for our rights to life, love, and equality. If you aren’t part of the community, you are still ✨SO✨ important, allies that we need to stand up and fight for our rights.

So here’s to this beautiful rainbow fam of people, who are more loving and resilient then ever - happy pride month to us 🏳️‍🌈

We finally got to go to Copenhagen together!! 🥰🇩🇰

Shanna had been to Copenhagen before with her bff in 2014 (aka 10 years ago now!) and when we first started dating I got to hear all of the stories of their travels together. That made it even more magical to get to go explore Copenhagen together again — but this time the three of us! — & it definitely lived up to my expectations.

It is such a walkable city, and Nyhavn (where we are in these photos!) is just as beautiful and charming online as it is in real life! ✨

Stockholm, you are magical! ✨🇸🇪

There’s no secret that Sweden is one of our favorite countries in the world. One of our BFFs live here and Shanna has personally visited the country like 6 times! On this trip we feel like we really have gotten to see even more of Stockholm than we did the last time we were here, and the sun even came out for us the whole trip! 🥹 If you know Sweden you know how rare that is 😂

We had fika with friends, explored Gamla Stan (the old town), Södermalm (the ‘Brooklyn’ of Stockholm), had lots of vegan Swedish food, saw epic views, hit up lots of local 🏳️‍🌈 spots in the city, and of courseeee went to the eras tour 🤩🪩🐍

It’s safe to say this city has our hearts and each time we visit we fall even more in love with 🫶🏻🇸🇪

Being back in Cape Town together was so magical. It’s one of our favorite cities in the world for so many reasons: the views are always EPIC, there is so much to see & do, and most importantly — we feel like we can be our true selves there 🫶🏻🌈

We all know that traveling as a q***r couple comes with certain challenges, but we never felt any of that in Cape Town. We went to q***r owned businesses, met and chatted with local LGBTQ+ people, and it just further cemented why South Africa is one of our favorite countries to visit ❤️

The place in Ireland we were the most excited to visit was the Cliffs of Moher! ☘️⛰️

The Cliffs Of Moher are about a 3.5 hour drive from Dublin in the beautiful Irish countryside. They are seaside cliffs that stretch for miles and it was so beautiful to finally see them IRL 😍 It’s also the #1 tourist attraction in Ireland and welcomes more than 1 million visitors a year!

We also got super lucky and even though we learned that in Ireland, it rains for 288 days of the year, when we went to the Cliffs, the sun came out for our whole trip! I guess you could say we had the luck of the Irish 🍀✨

There’s something so magical about being able to return to some of your favorite places! ✨✈️🌈

When we came to the Muizenberg colorful beach huts back in 2019, there was no way to know that we would ever be back here or that we would get to take another trip all the way to South Africa. We loved it at Muizenberg because it’s RAINBOW (obvi 😜) but also because we had amazing memories here last time and we were so excited to make new ones ❤️

Even though we were only here 5 years ago, so much has changed in our lives since the last time we were here (like becoming wives for example! 💍) The extra years of life experience made us feel so nostalgic and grateful and left us feeling so inspired that we are STILL be doing what we love to do 🥹

Ireland, WE LOVE YOU 🍀🫶🏻🇮🇪

It was our first time in Ireland and we truly did not expect to fall in love with this country as much as we did 🥹 It’s so progressive, so q***r, and it was the perfect place to celebrate my (Shanna’s) birthday! The vegan food was AMAZING and the people of Ireland were some of nicest we’ve ever come across on our travels. This country has so much history and we are SO glad we learned about it from a local perspective and not just in school (which our schools left some stuff out btw 😬)

Since we were visiting in April we didn’t expect Ireland to be as crowded as it was 🤣 Our flight there was FULL and every street and tour we went on was packed! And all the locals said the busy season hasn’t even started yet! We normally bring our tripod everywhere to take pictures, but since Ireland was crowded, we are SO happy we used to help us get some amazing photos! 📸

Yup, you read that right today is Shanna’s birthday!! 33 years ago today the world gained a badass dancing queen with a huge heart + the ability to just say it exactly how it is. Happy Le***an Visibility Day to all the lil gay humans in our phone 🫶🏻🩷🧡👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩

When we started our account in 2016, there was hardly any le***an representation at ALL, let alone in the travel space. We never intentially set out to be le***an representation online, but when we realized we could help other q***r women travel the world by sharing our story and our travel tips, we knew it was meant to be.

Le***an representation in the media has grown SIGNIFICANTLY since 2016 and to that we say SLAYYYYYY! 👏🏻 But LGBTQ+ rights and equality feels like it’s taken a step backwards. That’s why we believe it’s more important than EVER to make sure our voices are heard, and we’re loud and proud. We weren’t always proud to be le****ns (internalized homophobia got the best of us in our teens), but now we couldn’t be happier to be who we are 🩷🧡

So Happy LVD to all our lil le****ns!! We deserve this day to celebrate ALLL the epicness that is ✨ SAPPHICS ✨😍

We are back in Cape Town after 5 years and it’s just as magical as the last time 😍 Cape Town is one of our favorite cities in the entire world. The views are INSANE from every angle, there are so many unique things to do, and the people are so warm and welcoming. We never thought we would have the opportunity to come back here, but life always surprises you in the best way!

ONE BIG GAY SAFARI! 🌈🦏

Being on a safari with a q***r owned travel company is such an epic experience. and have made us feel SO extremely welcomed, loved, and accepted here in the South African bush. We’ve had family dinners every night and got to hear stories from the locals about what it’s like to live in this country, be LGBTQ+ in this country, and how connecting with nature in the bush has made such an impact on their lives.

But all this wouldn’t be possible without who put together such an amazing group for his 40th birthday 🎉 Being on this trip to celebrate this special milestone with him and all his friends has been so unforgettable. We’ve made so many memories and experiences we’ll never forget, and the trip isn’t even halfway over!

Going on Safari is one of the most worth it experiences we’ve ever gotten to do, and if you ever get the chance to do one with and , you will have the absolute best, gay old time 🫶🏻

Can’t believe we’re doing an African Safari again 😍🇿🇦

When we did our first Safari in 2019, we thought it was a once in a lifetime opportunity — so we are so grateful and can’t BELIEVE we’re here again for our bestie ’s 40th birthday 🎉 We always tell everyone that South Africa is one of our favorite countries to visit, and one of the reasons why is because of Safari. Seeing animals in their natural habitat up close — there is absolutely NOTHING like it 🥹

On Safari you go on game drives twice a day at sunrise and sunset to have the best opportunity to see the animals and we already saw so many animals just on our first day! The goal on Safari is to see The Big 5, and we’ve already seen 2/5! What an epic and unforgettable experience with and 🫶🏻🐆🐘🦓

It’s coming up on one year since we legally got married at City Hall 😍💍

When we eloped in Australia, we hadn’t actually done the legal part yet back home 🤫 But that’a because we came up with the idea to elope only a few weeks before lol. So we knew we had to do the legal part when we came back to NYC.

We did an online interview, and then made our appointment to get legally married on April 14th at the Brooklyn courthouse! It was so quick and easy (honestly can’t believe how quick the whole process was) and we showed up wearing the most Brooklyn le***an things we could find 😂🏳️‍🌈

Eloping was EVERYTHING and we are so glad we got married our way 🫶🏻💍
