*Memory Verse*
Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

*Topic:*
The Books Will Be Opened

*Brief Commentary*
Here we see records are kept during the time of Aaron and Moses as God spoke to Moses on Mount Sinai (v. 1). Part of the recorded details in the book were about the children of Aaron (v. 2). Verse 3 shows that the sons of Aaron were to be anointed as priests forever. Verse 4, however, showed Nadab and Abihu in a negative light. They offered strange fire, not sanctioned by God on the holy alter of God (Leviticus 10:1). Their action resulted in death (v. 4). It is pertinent to remind ourselves here that our daily actions and inactions whether good or bad are recorded in books. These books will be opened on judgement day, and all actions shall be judged in line with God's commandment. Our daily thought, words, and actions with all men will be weighed on God's scale. Remember that our God is meticulous and interested in details. Let us, therefore, learn to carefully follow God's word in all things and avoid rebellion attitudes that can land us in hellfire when the books are opened that day (Revelation 20:15).

*Declaration:*
We affirm that our deeds will be worthy of God's approval, as we live with the awareness that every action is accounted for because of God's righteous judgement.

*Prayer:*
Father, grant us the wisdom to walk in Your ways, guided by the consciousness that our works are recorded.

Where is Reuben’?
*Memory Verse: *
Psalm 109:8
Let his days be few; and let another take his office.
*Brief Commentary*
Today's passage reveals Judah's passionate intercession for Benjamin before _ Joseph (v.18). He reminded Joseph of his request for Benjamin to be brought to Egypt (vv.19-23). He mentioned his father's refusal to release Benjamin and the reason (vv.24-28). He pleaded that his father (Jacob) would suffer a great deal if Benjamin did not return with them (vv.30-31). Judah guaranteed Benjamin's safe retum before their father released him (v.32). He, therefore, offered to be exchanged for Benjamin's freedom (vv.33-34). There was nothing said about Reuben, the firstborn, in all of these situations. As the firstborn, should he not lead the rest? Has Judah suddenly become the new leader? Reuben for some reason lost his place, voice and father's trust. We see this playing out in homes and churches today. Husbands by God's appointment are heads of their homes, but many are not living up to that expectation by providing spiritually, physically, financially and otherwise. They have become like Reuben while their wives step up as Judah did here. If we do not engage with what God assigns to us, another person will take our place as happened to Reuben (Psalms 109:8). Let us never abuse or misuse our privileges in Christ.
*Declaration:*
*We declare that, in God's hands, we shall never lose relevance as Reuben lost his in the most crucial moments of his life, our relevance Is insured in serving God continually*
*Prayer:*
O God, help us to remain relevant in moments that matter the most and never be found wanting.

Learning From Past Experiences
*Brief Commentary*
Once beaten twice shy is an idiomatic expression that encourages wisdom to avoid a reoccurrence of a negative incident. Joseph's brothers faced needless worries and fear due to the money returned to their bags during their first visit (Genesis 43:18). They were unaware their money will be returned; so they did not check their bags carefully to avoid that. Now, Joseph's silver cup was concealed in one of their bags but because they did not learn from their experience, they fell into the trap. The missing silver cup was found in Benjamin's sack (vs. 11-13) and this meant trouble for Benjamin and Jacob's whole family (Genesis 44:9, 17). We need to learn from our past. Our history and past experiences are major tools to build a formidable future. It costs us nothing to stroll back into the past and garner wisdom for the present and future. Christians who ignore these seemingly insignificant things end up paying a fortune for their mistake as a result. We should learn from our past to avoid repeated failures.
*Declaration:*
We declare our past experiences as stepping-stones to greater heights, we recognize them as valuable lessons that would shape our journey going forward.
*Prayer:*
Lord, help us to make decisions as we keep trusting You for the future.

_A Dream Come True_
*Brief Commentary:*
Today's passage is about how Joseph's dream in Genesis 37:5-8 came to pass after several years. When Joseph received his brothers in his house (v. 26), he asked about their well-being and their father's (v. 27), but when he saw his younger brother, Benjamin, he could not hold his tears (vs. 29-31). In response to Joseph's reception, his brothers repeatedly bow down to the earth before him, exactly as revealed in his dream years earlier (vs. 26-28). Our dreams are achievable. Ours may not be the dreams of the night like Joseph's, but the goals we have set for ourselves are dreams we should cherish. Developing a godly relationship with God, building a home, furthering our education, creating a business of our own, or getting married are all examples of such goals. These goals have been achieved by many people in the past. Why should ours be different? Let us hold on to the God in prayer and faith, work at developing ourselves by building capacity, and keep a positive mindset. Our dreams will come true; let us keep hope alive.
*Declaration:*
Today, we declare that we trust in God's plan and timing for our dreams, for our deepest desires align with His purpose, transforming our dreams into living testimonies.
*Prayer:*
_Father, grant that our dreams may become realities that bring glory to Your name._

_Mary's Faith: Trusting Jesus for Miracles_
*Brief Commentary:*
In Cana of Galilee, a wedding celebration was underway, and among the esteemed guests was Jesus ' mother. The presence of Jesus and His disciples also graced the occasion, adding to the joyous atmosphere (vs.1,2). However, a crisis unfolded as the wine, the symbol of merriment, ran dry. Sensing the urgency, Mary turned to Jesus, seeking His intervention. But, Jesus replied, "My time has not yet come" (vs.3,4). Undeterred, Mary entrusted the situation to Him, instructing the servants to, " Do whatever He tells you" (v.5). Responding to His mother's plea, Jesus stepped in, directing the servants to fill the water pots with ordinary water. Astonishingly, as the chairman of the occasion tasted the transformed water,it had become the finest wine (vs.6-10), and an unbelievable miracle had occurred. This extraordinary moment marked Jesus ' inaugural miracle (v.11). This story reveals Jesus' power over nature. It also implores us to trust Him for miracles. We must respect His timing and heed His guidance in our moments of need and challenges. When we obediently follow His lead, we shall witness His miraculous power, turning ordinary circumstances into extraordinary miracles.
*Declaration:*
We declare extraordinary miracles from ordinary interactions today. We decree divine interventions in all areas of our lives, as we open our hearts to His signs and wonders.
*Prayer:*

_Heavenly Encounters._
*Brief Commentary:*
In the heart of today's passage, we read about the interesting journey of discovering and encountering Jesus - a journey that forever alters the course of lives, Jesus, with divine intention, set His path towards Galilee, where He found Philip and called him to be His disciple (v. 43). Philip, ignited by this life-changing encounter, sought out Nathanael, initially hesitant, eventually agreed to meet Jesus (vs. 44-46). Jesus seeing Nathanael, bestowed upon him a commendation that left Nathanael in awe (vs. 47-48), this led Nathanael to an unshakable belief in Jesus (vs. 49-51). The Joy of discovering Jesus is an uncontainable joy that should naturally impel us to share Him with the world. Amidst the clamor of those seeking what is not, we have found the greatest treasure of all - Jesus Himself. If you have found Him, it is a heavenly encounter and you need to beckon others to encounter and experience the life-changing power of His salvation. We must all be part of this mission to light up the world with His grace, love, mercy and forgiveness.
*Declaration:*
_Today, we embody Philips spirit of evangelism, recognizing that sharing Christ with others, as he did, brings an encounter that would charge their souls with the light of salvation._
*Prayer:*

*Brief Commentary*
Today's passage unravels the mission of John the Baptist - to introduce the world to the Savior with the proclamation, "Behold! the Lamb of God" (w.29,35-38). His ministry was to pave the way for the arrival of Jesus, the Lamb of God (v.31). Although John had not known of Jesus' Messiahship at this point, he was divinely ordained to recognize Him when the Holy Spirit descended like a dove, and he boldly shared the good news about the Messiah (vv.32-34). One of the earliest converts to heed John's message was Andrew, Simon's brother (v.40). Andrew wasted no time and rushed to share the extraordinary news with his brother, Simon, upon whom Jesus bestowed the name Cephas, meaning Peter (w.40-42). This is a reminder of the power of introducing people to Jesus Christ Just as John and Andrew passionately pointed to the Lamb of God, we too are reminded to make it our Christian responsibility to share the good news with others about the One who alone can wash away the sins of the world (v.29).
*Declaration:*

The identity Question: Who is John the Baptist?
*Memory Verse:*
John 3:28
Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.
*Brief Commentary*
This passage recaps the importance of maintaining our true identity. The Jews from Jerusalem sent Levites to question John the Baptist, wanting to know who he was but John openly admitted that he was not the Christ (vv.19,20). They then asked if he was Elijah or the Prophet, but he answered "No". Finally, they inquired about his identity to report back, and John revealed that he was just a forerunner (vv.21-23). Some Pharisees got upset and questioned why he was baptizing if he was not the Christ, Elijah, or the Prophet (vv.24-25). In response, John clarified his role compared to Christ (vv.26-27). When allowed to falsely claim a different identity, Jonn chose to remain true to himself and his ministry. Often, we may be tempted to pretend to be someone we are not to gain respect or privileges. However, like John, it is essential to maintain our true identity and purpose, even when presented with the chance to impersonate someone else. Staying true to oneself, and to one's calling is greatly lacking today. A lot of ministers have already taken the place of God in the lives of their members, may God deliver His Church.
*Declaration:*
*We declare our Identity in Christ and renounce any form of identity theft; we shall live authentically, grounded in our faith and protected from the deceptions of the world.*
*Prayer:*
Lord, protect us from spiritual identity theft that seeks to rob us of our true purpose and faith in You.

_God's Unchanging Love_
*Brief Commentary:*
In this passage, we are reminded of the nature of God's love. It is a love that transcends time, passed down from generation to generation, and it is grounded in God's deliberate choice. Conversely, those whom God rejects face devastation, exemplified in the case of Esau, and even their attempts to rebuild are thwarted by God's hand. This highlights that God's power extends far beyond our understanding (vs. 1-5). In Romans 9:10-13, we see a contrast between God's love for Israel and His rejection of Esau. God's love is immeasurable, demonstrated by Christ's sacrifice for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). We are called to cherish and reciprocate this love by loving both fellow believers and even our enemies (John 15:13, Matthew 5:43-45) because this love surpasses human merit. By demonstrating this love generously to others, just as Christ did for us, in a world marked by division, hate and hostility, we reflect our identities as God's true children.

_Tasting God's Goodness_
*Brief Commentary:*
The Psalmist in this passage extols the Lord, declaring his intention to continually praise Him and boast of His greatness (vs. 1-3). He further reflects on his own experience of seeking the Lord, which resulted in his deliverance from fear and trouble (vs. 4-7). So, he invites us all to taste and see that the Lord is good, emphasizing the blessings and refuge one can find in Him (v. 8). This passage teaches the importance of praise and the acknowledgement of God's goodness in our relationship with Him continually. Just as the Psalmist found deliverance from fear and trouble through seeking the Lord, we can also experience peace and protection by turning to Him in our times of need. Also, the invitation to " _taste and see that the Lord is good"_ is for us to experience God's goodness firsthand. While others may seek satisfaction in various pursuit, true fulfillment and refuge are only found in a personal relationship with God. We should draw near to God, taste His goodness, and worship Him as our only source of blessings and security.
*Declaration:*
_We declare that as we go out today, we will taste God's goodness in every encounter, His blessings in unexpected moments, and His love in the kindness of others._

_Hope In The Lord For Strength_
*Brief Commentary:*
We understand from our passage today that there is strength and gladness in putting our hope in the Lord, for our salvation depends solely on His mighty hand (v.20). The Psalmist emphasize that no army and no amount of human strength can guarantee our deliverance, for it is not by our might but by His divine power. He recognizes that even the mightiest war horse cannot secure victory (vs.16-17). But the Lord keeps watch over those who revere Him, those who place their trust in His love. He rescues us from death's grip and sustains us in times of scarcity (vs.18-19). We should burst with joy in His presence and praise Him at all times, boasting only in His supreme strength. In moments of discouragement, let our collective faith take heart, knowing that the Lord answers our prayers, and His goodness is the cornerstone of our hope. This Psalm urges us, not to rely on human strength, for neither armies nor war horses can secure salvation. God,who watches over all who fear Him, calls us to wait with hope, for our deliverance is from the strength He gives.
*Declaration:*
_We declare that our hope in the Lord is steadfast; it is the anchor that provides us strength in times of trials and light in moments of darkness.

_The Everlastingness of God's Plans_
*Brief Commentary* :
In our passage, the godly are seen responding to God's wisdom with joyful songs and music, emphasizing that God's word is true, and His works are trustworthy. His love, justice, and love fill the earth, as evidenced in His creation of the heavens, the world, and the seas (vs.1-9). Therefore, all are to hold the Lord in reverence, for He has the power to thwart the plans of nations (v.10). This is a reflection of the unshakable nature of the Lord's plans and His wisdom. It emphasizes that the Lord's intentions are firm and cannot be shaken. So, those who make the Lord their God are blessed, for He gazes upon all humanity, understanding every action (vs.13-15). The Lord's plans endure eternally for His people, reminding us to commit our plans and aspirations to His hands. While it is good to have ambitions in life, we must remember that the success of our plans ultimately depends on God. As Christians, we should align our goals with His divine purpose, seeking His guidance and trusting in His wisdom, for His plans stand firm forever, and in Him, we find ultimate success.

Finding Joy in the Confession of Sins
*Memory Verse:*
1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
*Brief Commentary*
Rejoice in the Lord and be Glad all you who obey Him, whose hearts are pure (v.11); because your rebellion is forgiven and your sin is put out of sight, and you are living in complete honesty (vv.1-2); you become weak and miserable when you refuse to confess your sin to the Lord; your strength will also evaporate; but when you confess your sin to the Lord, He will forgive (vv. 3-5). All the godly should take advantage now to confess their sin to God while there is time to escape judgement; for God is our hiding place from trouble, and he gives us victory (v.6 7). He will also guide, advise and watch over us, therefore, we should not live wild (vv.8-9). The wicked experiences many sorrows, but unfailing love surrounds those who trust the Lord (v.10). This passage implies that God forgives our transgressions and removes our sins. That is, God is so merciful and compassionate but He would only forgive if we confess while there is time. Let us not run away or hide from Him like Adam, the blood of Jesus is readily available for cleansing. It is in the confession of our sins that our consciences find peace and true joy.
*Declaration:*
*By the confession of our sins today, we declare our spiritual liberation, cleansing of our souls, and renewal of our connection with God with hearts filled with peace and joy.*

_The True Source of Wisdom and Understanding_

*Brief Commentary:*
Wisdom and Understanding are divine gifts, hidden from the knowledge of humanity (v. 20), concealed from the eyes of all living beings (v. 21). Although whispers of their whereabouts reach even destruction and death (v. 22), only God knows their true abode (v. 23), for He measures, establishes, and tests wisdom (v. 27). This passage shows that wisdom and understanding are fundamentally relational. Wisdom guides our connection with God-----fearing the Lord while understanding enhances our interactions with others----avoiding evil. They are not merely intellectual pursuits but practical insights with spiritual significance (John 3:13-17). To attain these gifts, we must earnestly seek them through prayer, allowing our connection with God to be the conduit. We must shed the weight of bitterness, envy, and selfish ambition, and embrace purity, peace, and empathy, weaving them into the fabric of all our relationships. By this, we align ourselves with the very essence of God's character, enriching our lives and becoming radiant source of His enlightenment in a world hungry for these divine qualities.

_Knowledge: A Precious Treasure_
*Brief Commentary:*
The knowledge bestowed upon humanity by God is extraordinary and serves as motivation for advancement (v. 1). We possess the wisdom to extract precious metals like silver and refine gold (v. 1), and to mine iron from the earth and smelt copper from stone (v. 2). We can locate valuable ores(v. 3) and use ropes to navigate deep places (vs.4-5). This wisdom surpasses even the vision of a falcon (v. 7). Technological progress enables us to carve roads through rugged terrain, surmounting mountains and rocks (vs. 9-10), and construct dams to harness electricity and other resources (v. 11). The gift of knowledge testifies to God's generosity to humanity; it is a divine virtue (2 Peter 1:5), we now find ourselves in a world made smaller by technology. Therefore, Believers should take pride in the treasure of knowledge for the betterment of society and, most importantly, use it to advance God's kingdom. Our capabilities are divine gifts, we should engage them to harness the immense potential within humanity, we can make a positive impact on the world around us if we do it wisely.
*Declaration:*

_The Inescapable Consequences of Wickedness
_
*Brief Commentary:*
This passage is about the Inescapable Consequences of the wicked by the God of justice. God's decree is clear: the fate of the wicked is sealed, and their inheritance is one of sorrow (v. 13). Their children will suffer in war or famine (v. 14), and plagues will claim any survivors (v. 15). God will ensure that their ill- gotten wealth flows into the hands of the righteous and innocent (vs. 16-17). Their houses will crumble swiftly (vs. 18-19), swept away by the relentless east wind (vs. 20-23). This message serves as a reminder that wickedness certainly leads to ruin, with no security guaranteed. Regardless of where Wickedness lurks - be it in government, business, or even the church - believers are urged not to envy or associate with the wicked (Proverbs 24:1). We are to follow righteousness, knowing that the prosperity of the wicked is fleeting, God's justice will soon prevail, and their end is sure. Psalm 1:1 reinforces this, promising blessings to those who steer clear of wicked counsels. Thus, those who find motivation in the pursuit of righteousness and integrity will prevail, even when wickedness seems to thrive.

*Declaration:*
_We believe and declare that the wickedness in our land will ultimately yield to the enduring power of righteousness and divine justice._

Job's resolve (v. 2) serves as a powerful lesson to believers. As long as he lives (v. 3), he commits never to let wickedness pass his lips, ensuring that decit will not taint his tongue (v. 4). Job's determination to maintain his integrity (v. 5) and keep a clear conscience (v. 6) underlines the importance of righteousness, even in the face of adversity. His motivation stems from his belief that the enemies should face consequences (v. 7), for the godliness are devoid of hope (v. 8) and God turns a deaf ear to their cries (v. 9). In choosing godliness, Job recognizes the stark contrast between the godless and those who find delight in the Lord (v. 10). His conviction arises from this awareness. For believers, Job's example serves as a reminder that suffering may befall us, but our reactions matter most. Like Daniel and his companions, maintaining integrity and guarding words will lead to triumph over adversity. In an unjust world, one of the keys to overcoming all forms of maltreatment and adversity is in our pursuit of integrity.

*Declaration:*

_
*Prayer:*
_O Lord, in the most challenging circumstances of our lives, guide us with Your light and grace._
