Allison Williamson is currently an Assistant Attorney General in the Sexually Violent Predator
unit. Prior to becoming an Assistant Attorney General, she was the Child in Need of Care prosecutor in
the Wyandotte District Attorney’s Office. She also ran the truancy department and was back up
Charging Attorney dealing with CINC cases. She recently campaigned to become District Court Judge
over the Child in Need of Care Court (CINC) in Wyandotte County, Kansas. Although she received 46% of
the vote, she lost the race in the Primary Election by 703 votes. Ms. Williamson has now filed to run as a
Write in Candidate in the General Election in the District Attorney’s race. The current District Attorney
ran unopposed in the Primary Election and will be the only one on the ballot; however, because Ms.
Williamson has filed to become a Write in Candidate, the election office will tabulate the results. Ms.
Williamson has a BA in English and Political Science with a minor in African Studies, an MS in Criminal
Justice and a JD with a Family Law Certificate. Throughout her career she has been a Court Appointed
Special Advocate (CASA), a parent attorney, a child’s attorney, a Guardian Ad Litem, and a Prosecutor in
the CINC Court. For years she was a Public Defender both State and the Federal level and has experience
in Juvenile Corrections. She has dedicated her life to public service. When asked why she is running,
Allison replied, “I realized that there are so many improvements that can be made in that office, if given
the opportunity to become the next District Attorney. This community deserves leaders that lead by
example and that will be transparent as they fight for justice. With my innovative ideas, I know that this
county can thrive in safe communities while protecting our future. I ask for your vote: Write in Allison
Williamson as your next DA.” Early Voting in Kansas begins October 19, 2024. For information on your
