e it is important to discover, nurture and develop new talent, as well as working with existing and established authors to push their limits and keep important work in print. In 2009 this manifested as the Dog Horn Masterclass programme. In 2010 we undertook the Dog Horn Prize for Literature in both poetry and prose. Writers from both projects were supported over the course of several months to produce new work, and will continue to have links and communication with our editorial team where possible. BOOKS
Our early releases were exclusive limited editions. Once gone, they're gone forever. Starting in 2009, we launched our new range of trade paperbacks to widen our catalogue and make our titles more readily available. We want to make our books something special, so we try our hardest to make them as beautiful or striking on the outside as they are on the inside. All our authors have input in the production of their books, and we work on a one-on-one basis to develop them as best we can. Dog Horn Publishing was established in 2004 by Ellis France and a team of friends. Today we may have more titles under our belt, but we are still very much a boutique publisher. We want to offer the reader something exclusive and original; we want to offer the writer the chance to release their book in the luxurious formats they deserve. Here at Dog Horn, we're all friends.
