Welcome to Alchemy fly tying, all flies tied by myself, unless otherwise stated, this page gives me an online platform to show and share my work at the vice, and a chance to support other talented tiers and retailers both in the U.K. I'm not really looking to start tying commercially, there are loads of bulk fly tyers on F.B. Hooses Goldie & Hi-Viz Claret, Fantastic colours, great mix of modern and traditional materials, both tied on Fulling Mill silver nickel comp special hooks. Essential tying notes for these patterns, along with some fine photographic plates, make our efforts a little easier.

Arthur Macdonald Silver Goat Capercaillie, once I got to grips with spinning the Fulling Mill cross-cut Rabbit, this pattern came to life on the hook. I tied these on Short shank specials 8 # & 10 #. Page 113 in Arthur's book, you will find an interesting backstory to go along with the fly.
