After multiple delays, the EU’s Entry-Exit System (EES) has officially launched on 12 October.
Non-EU travellers will not need to go through the manual passport stamping system across 29 countries, except Ireland and Cyrpus.
The EES is non-payable, and will be fully operational by 10 April, 2026 at all international airports, major land borders and seaports.
