GOVERNOR ZULUM BAGS THE BIGGEST AHEAD OF 2023 ELECTIONS.
Borno State Students, under the leadership of the National Union of Borno State Students (NUBOSS) and Forum of Students' Union Governments (SUGs), mobilised hundreds of students' leaders across the state to emphatically support Professor Babagana Umara Zulum for a second term.
Various speakers among the young leaders highlighted the educational transformation recorded in the state, comprising of, the establishment of Borno State University, purchase of Metro City Busses to ease transportation to campuses etc, as well as, the laudable welfare packages for Borno State students which include undergraduate, Local and International Scholarships, tuition fees payment for Law School students and free education for primary and secondary education, among many other achievements.
The Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Grema Terab thanked the group for the monumental and charged them to follow-up with huge votes, given the number of votes the students population in the state are capable of producing. He assured them due recognition of their efforts in drumming support for the governor. He then donated 1 Million naira to support the various students organisations for the continued promotion of the Governor.
Engr Adam Bukar Bababe, Executive Secretary BOGIS and Special Adviser on Monitoring, Evaluation and Special Projects, Engr Idris Garba (Ero),who were unavoidably absent, sent their goodwill messages and donated 2 Million naira and 1 Million naira respectively.
Also contributing Was Barr. Kaka Shehu Lawan, APC Borno Central Senatorial Candidate, who was represented by Hon Chiroma Usman, donated 1 Million naira.
The Speaker Borno State House of Assembly donated ₦200,000, Alhaji Mustapha Abdullahi (Babani) Also donated ₦500,000 and 150,000 was donated byComr Mahmud Muhammad.
SUG President Ramat Polytechnic, Comr Hamza Idi, Vice President Unimaid, Comr Zainab Abdullahi Biu, Borno State University SUG President, Ibrahim Modu Kyari,
Kashim Ibrahim College of Education SUG President, Comr Bakura Abba Yusuf, Mohammed Lawan College of Agric SUG President Mohammed Alhaji Ladan, alongside other students leaders made a case for Professor Babagana Umara Zulum's Endorsement and enumerated the governor's impact in their various institutions, in their separate remarks.
The NUBOSS President, Comr Abubakar Wajiro, gave Vote of Thanks to dignitaries, fellow students and all that made the event possible. He further reiterated that one good term deserves another.
