This online family has always given me so much freedom. I've been able to put family first. I've been able to put my art and mental health first. I've been able be private. I've been able to take months and sometimes almost a year away from posting at times. In those absences I have been building. I can barely contain the excitement to share it. Being able to share at my own pace is a gift. I'm sensitive. I'm intense. I take things slow. I'm from a cold and northern place, I move like ice. I flow like winter and when spring pushes through I come alive.

So it seems in my absence someone has been imitating me online.

I would never message you from some bs account and ask personal information or ask for anything. It looks like someone is taking advantage of me being off facebook. From what I've seen the messages are all pretty much the same, and if you get a message from any account that doesn't go back to this page, it's fake. Please report any account that doesn't lead to this page pretending to be me.

I'm so sorry to everyone who has been contacted by this phony account. I hate that someone has been pretending to be me. This family is the world to me. I daydream of moments singing our hearts out and have been working on a way to set up shows that take place in beautiful places. I've been recording non-stop. Over 33 new songs and a new album. I'm working on a book due out this spring. I have so much to share. But after getting back online I have an inbox full of people sharing that some fake account is scamming my community and it's really sad.

I believe in alchemy.

So here's my transmutation.

I'm opening up a new email. I'll be giving everyone who emails me a new song and a telegram link where we can chat. I'm gonna message every single person who emails me over the next few months and try to set up a few group chats where we can call and connect.

🌱I grew up not really knowing where my food came from… All the vegetables and produce in our household were bought at grocery stores other than the occasional fruit like Mango or avocado from someone’s backyard…All the meats and cheeses and most vegetables from my parents’s deli were shipped to Hawaii in boxes… I had a great childhood….but looking back I realize I was completely disconnected from the source of where my food comes from.
No one ever asked me ‘Do you know where your food comes from’…
No one ever asked me ‘do you know the farmers that grow your food’…
And I never really thought about it…

I had no education or any concept of growing my own food or had ever really thought about growing food till I was about 20 years old….
I tell you this because sometimes people think because I am so passionate about farming and growing food now that I grew up on a farm…. No it was very much so the opposite…

I had to discover my passion for growing food. I had to learn about how to build healthy soil & what microbes & mycelium were. I had to practice growing food thru trial and error and I had to learn to commune with the earth in completely different ways than before… it was a whole mentality & lifestyle shift… And once your lifestyle begins changing it is crucial to find people who are living similar lifestyles & share similar passions to build relationships that are inspiring and encourage growth and expansion…🌱
and I’m definitely still learning…(Especially during this new chapter on the farm🌱👶🏼)
So I encourage you all to create a relationship with your food, a basic understanding of where your food is coming from…a connection with the farmers who grow the food or even better …. become the farmer/ gardener yourself & start planting the seeds🌱🌱🌱
…and let me tell you from personal experience the rewards are great🙌🏾🥑🥭🍊🍋🍌🥥🍈

Life is a fight. A fight against our own self. There is a lethargic monster in each of us that wants us to settle, give into addictions, take the paved road, do the easy thing. Don’t let it win. When you’re favored by God you are also favored by the Devil. Who you want in your corner?
