Yesterday was a big day for Loyola Greyhounds men's lacrosse as they won the 2016 Patriot League Lacrosse conference championship 14-6 over Army Black Knights men's lacrosse. The victory helped Loyola University Maryland jump three spots in the final Inside Lacrosse rankings, from No. 11 to No. 8, finish the year at 12-3, and qualify for the upcoming NCAA Lacrosse tournament. Statement made to the NCAA Baseball world, as Tulane Baseball knocked off rival & No. 8 LSU 4-1 to mark the first Tulane University season-series sweep of the Tigers since 2007! Sophomore right-hander J.P. France pitched 7.1 strong innings and junior 2B Jake Willsey hit his sixth homer of the season to lead the way. The Tulane Green Wave, ranked 20th by Baseball America and 22nd by D1Baseball.com, now stands 27-13 on the season and 1/2 game out of first place in the American Athletic Conference - while also riding a five-game winning streak.

NCAA Lacrosse road wins are never easy, but they are always satisfying. Virginia Lacrosse travelled to Georgetown University looking to get back on the winning track and back to .500. Georgetown Hoyas men's lacrosse made the Virginia Cavaliers work hard for a victory, overcoming an early-second-half 5-2 deficit to tie the game at 5. In the end, the University of Virginia prevailed 8-7 on Saturday thanks to a hat trick from both James Pannell and Zed Williams. #GoHoos #Wahoowa #UVALAX

Wow, how about that power display from D1Baseball.com's No. 20 East Carolina Pirates baseball yesterday in a huge 15-3 win over No. 8 NC State Wolfpack baseball. Of the three home runs East Carolina University hit yesterday, none was bigger than the first career Home run from Jr. Outfielder Zack Mozingo.
