Never Stop Dating!

It can be hard to find time to get away with your spouse when you’re in the trenches with toddlers, but it’s so so important. This year we’re really trying to prioritize US time. Which typically leads to our favorite Mexican spot :) We reminisced the good ol’ days when we were first dating. Life without interruptions and crazy kids…what did we even do with all our time?! Special thanks to Nana and Farfar for watching our little humans.

Happy Santa Lucia Day!! 🇸🇪 Scroll to see the last 5 years we celebrated this Swedish holiday. Our family tradition includes dressing like Santa Lucia (Kirsten the American Girl Doll), having a fancy breakfast, and singing the Lucia song with Alexa. The story behind this special day: St Lucia was a young Christian girl who would secretly bring food to the persecuted Christians in Rome, who lived and hid in the catacombs under the city. She would wear candles on her head so she had both her hands free to carry things. Lucy means ‘light.’ In 304 AD Lucy was martyred for her faith.
