This special Sabbat ‘Sabbaticult Scandinavia’ shirt that was made exclusively for the band’s four Scandinavian shows sold out way too quickly in Norway and Sweden two and a half weeks ago. However, a limited reprint of 50 will be made for the Sabbatical maniacs of Denmark for the band’s final show in Europe this Saturday, 13 July, at Metal Magic Festival! All sizes (S-3XL) will be available, and please note that it’s cash only.

Jan Utecht—vocalist of OCCVLTA, a very dear friend, and one of the very few OG Electric Assault Records supporters—has been working on this book for the past 15 years and it’s finally getting it’s due. It’s incredible to see this labor of love getting the treatment it deserves, and hopefully you all can help realize this by helping out. Much like the underground music we all live for, non-commercial art such as this needs passionate people like us to keep artists doing what they do. Sabbat were on hellfire this past weekend—the Sabbaticult is alive in Scandinavia! Thanks to all the Sabbatical maniax who showed up to the shows in Norway and Sweden (a few coming as far away as America and Colombia!) Haven’t done a “Flashback Friday” in a while, so here you go: Century embarked on their first-ever tour, in America, exactly one year ago! The Conquest Of America saw the band hitting cities and towns across the East Coast down to Texas, with and Stress Angel. Also, their debut LP, ‘The Conquest Of Time,’ was released and a limited number of white vinyl were pressed for this tour. Did you go to any of these shows? Who out there owns one of these records? Century takes over Berlin at Urban Spree on Friday, 26 April, with Bloodfang and SPEEDWHORE! Presented by the fine and trusted folks at Wolf City

The Fighting Eagle has landed!
We finally get a chance to bring the new hope of Swedish heavy metal to Berlin. After a masterful demo in 2020, the Stockholm duo has released a single and a much anticipated first album in 2023 but has not been exactly roaming the roads, save for a few festival appearances. Once this tour was announced, we had to jump at the opportunity! Not many bands out there who can master the fine art of melodic yet undoubtedly-forged-in-steel heavy fu***ng metal the way the old swedish masters of yore could - and you guessed it, Century are one of the precious few.

The opening ceremonies will be executed by none other than local stalwarts Speedwhore, who also have a fresh album and an even fresher new drummer to present to our hungry audience out there, and by new black/thrash horde Bloodfang, who don't have anything out yet (look out for a demo soon, though) but are ready to slay any throat with sharp riffing and the summoned forces of evil.

Century
Century ist eine Heavy-Metal-Band aus Stockholm, Schweden, bestehend aus zwei Mitgliedern: Staffan Tengnér und Leo Ekström. Gegründet im Jahr 2000, haben sie sich durch ihre unverfälschte Herangehensweise an traditionellen Heavy Metal einen Namen gemacht. Trotz ihrer Herkunft aus Stockholm setzen sie sich von typischen Klischees des Genres ab, indem sie keine buzzsaw Gitarren oder Todesgrowls verwenden. Stattdessen verkörpern sie mit ihrem Erscheinungsbild und ihrer Musik die Ästhetik und den Sound der frühen 1980er Jahre. Century übernehmen sämtliche Aufgaben selbst, von der Instrumentierung bis zur Produktion ihrer Musik und des Artworks. Ihre Musik zeichnet sich durch mitreißende Gitarrenriffs, hymnische Gesangsstimmen und eine unkomplizierte Produktion aus, die die Wurzeln des Heavy Metal respektiert und gleichzeitig einen frischen Wind in die Szene bringt. Mit ihrem Debütalbum „The Conquest Of Time“ haben sie sich als eine Band etabliert, die die Tradition des Heavy Metal auf höchstem Niveau wiederbelebt und dabei dennoch ihren eigenen Stil pflegt.

Ritvs

Mit dem neuen Bandnamen Ritvs macht die ehemals unter den Namen Vvlva bekannte Kraut & Heavy-Rock Band aus Aschaffenburg ein neues Kapitel auf und verzichtet erstmals auf englischsprachige Texte – in der eigenen Sprache ist schlichtweg mehr möglich. Die meist erzählerischen Texte versetzen in düstere und abgründige Welten, die teilweise mehr an unsere Lebensrealität erinnern, als uns lieb wäre. Musikalisch sticht vor allem die dröhnende Hammondorgel hervor. Im Zusammenspiel mit der Gitarre entstehen zahlreiche Läufe und Soloabfolgen, die von einer groovigen Rhythmusfraktion getragen werden. Beim Songwriting wurde
besonderen Wert darauf gelegt, Eingängiges mit Progressivem zu paaren. Bei der Produktion hat sich die Band diesmal besonders Zeit genommen um die passenden Sounds zu finden, die stets an die späten 70er erinnern, ohne verstaubt daher zu kommen.
