Veteran house music artist, Hector Romero debuts ‘The Network’ on November 15th.

Dubbed after Romero’s large, yet close knit group of industry friends and colleagues, ‘The Network’ is a new monthly online podcast/mixshow dedicated to featuring new Dance/Electronic Music, filmed live at TheFunktionHouse, in the heart of the thriving Red Hook, Brooklyn.

‘The Network’ will see host Hector Romero showcase new music, one on one interviews with industry peers, and talk nightlife, in an intimate studio environment.

The show will look to pay homage to the days of late 90’s & early 2000’s Dance music video shows.

With over 25 years experience in nightlife as an artist as well as a label manager/A&R for seminal labels, Def Mix and SAW Recordings, Romero is a key figure in house music nightlife. Based in one of the hubs for house music, NYC – Romero knows the pulse of dance/electronic music like few others.

Romero had been sketching some ideas for a monthly show, but they all came to fruition after a recent livestream for TheFunktionHouse’s weekly ‘Live from Red Hook’ that Romero appeared on. TheFunktionHouse founders Anthony Vitale and Michael Gentile approached Romero with the idea to start a monthly show, and provide the outlet that Romero was seeking.

“It was Hector’s natural abilities behind the microphone that drew us in, not to mention his keen abilities to play music on the decks” said Gentile.

Romero, intrigued with the offer, knew that this could be the start of something very special. Romero has jumped onboard to host and co-produce the show. “I knew it was the right decision to go all in and put my efforts into starting the show. I want to continue waving the ‘House Music’ flag and I think I’ll be doing the music I love justice by exposing it to the network around the world” states Romero.

Limited invites available for attendance. The show will be featured live on www.thefunktionhouse.com/thenetwork along with the FaceBook pages of TheFunktionHouse and Def Mix.
