A STATEMENT FROM CHILDREN OF GRACE
ON THE MILLSTONES AND BALTIMORE BANNER ARTICLES

We have read the articles from the Baltimore Banner and have reviewed the
website for The Millstone Group, who devoted so much time and care into bringing these heinous and heartbreaking stories into the light.

We want to offer our full support to both these organizations for the hard work they have done and continue to do. The courage that it has taken the MIllstones, who started this movement, and those who told their stories in the article is remarkable. We commend them for their bravery.

Our podcast was developed out of a similar desire: to bring to light the things we were taught to hide for so long - things that should never have occurred, and were never meant to be hidden. We stand shoulder to shoulder with the Millstone Group and they have our utmost respect, support, and cooperation.

While we started this venture as a place to tell the history of The Bible Speaks and Greater Grace World Outreach (TBS/GGWO) and to share our own stories in the spirit of healing for all, we also recognize we are coming to a crossroads.

We continue to desire for full healing for all - and that starts with the removal of EVERY SINGLE pastor or staff member who perpetrated, participated in, or helped cover abuses against ANYONE within these organizations. For any abuses that occurred within the statute of limitations, reporting all perpetrators (staff or otherwise) to the appropriate authorities is also necessary for justice and to send a clear signal that abuse of any kind will not be tolerated. There is no place in the house of God for the abuse of others (especially children) or the hiding of these horrible atrocities.

A phrase comes to mind that we learned as children of Greater Grace…What Would Jesus Do? There are multiple stories in the Bible that point to exactly what He would do - perhaps it’s time for Greater Grace to truly and honestly reflect and act on that guidance.

Once again, thank you for all of the support you have shown us. Now it’s time for us to focus our support on the Millstones and the Banner as they continue to light this path that has been shrouded in darkness for so long. We are including a link to the Millstone Group’s website in the comments, where you will find links to any current and future articles and numerous helpful resources.

For others it is a painful reminder of loss, be it physical, relational, or emotional.
