Out tomorrow! Unreleased Junkshop Glam banger from ‘74. Have a listen.
Here’s a preview of the b-side “Goodbye Dan” off our upcoming DAMON LYON-SHAW “Why Cry Why” 7” single JAW060, due out in October. While the 1973 A-side is pure proto punk fury, the b-side dates from three years prior and sounds like a Syd-era Pink Floyd outtake. Damon is a legendary engineer/producer who has worked with the likes of Third World War, Status Quo, The Who, The Factory, etc. During downtime between sessions, Damon and his recording engineer friends would cut their own tracks. They were only pressed to acetates for their own listening pleasure. Both tracks are previously unreleased and were mastered and restored by Giuda’s engineering maestro, Danilo Silvestri. We are grateful to Damon for giving this project his full blessing and excited for the tunes to finally see the light of day 50+ years later. DAMON LYON-SHAW “Why Cry Why” b/w “Goodbye Dan” 7” single JAW060. Coming in 2023! UNRELEASED Glam/Proto Punk on the A-side, fuzzed out Psych on the b-side. Sourced directly from the only known acetates and with Damon Lyon-Shaw’s very kind permission. These tunes from circa ‘70 & ‘73 are seeing the light of day for the very first time.
Damon Lyon-Shaw has produced some of our all-time favorite records including The Factory “Path Through The Forest” single and Status Quo “On The Level” and “For You Blue” LPs. He is primarily known for his engineering work including The Who “Tommy”, Third World War “II” and numerous Status Quo albums.
During downtime at the studio, Damon and his fellow engineers whom were all musicians, would cut their own songs in between sessions. These tracks were only pressed to acetates and given to those who played on the sessions and their friends. Finding not one, but two of these acetates from the same time period is a miracle.
Restored and mastered by Danilo Silvestri. Graphics by Mikey Tashjian.

TERRY STAMP - “I’ll Get You For That” off Twenty Rough Rotters - The Bomb Shelter Tapes 1980-1989 2LP. Recorded 1981.
Here’s a little preview off our TERRY STAMP - Blue Redondo LP JAW068. This is the unreleased follow-up to his incredible Fatsticks album. Recorded during 1977-78. We’re working with the original master tapes kindly provided by Terry himself. #terrystamp #justaddwaterecords #thirdworldwar
TERRY STAMP rarely does covers but when he does it’s a banger. “Debris” originally recorded by The Faces. Written by the one and only Ronnie Lane. We filmed this on 4 March 2022 in Terry’s garage in El Segundo, CA. His cat is on backing vocals. We have some new projects in the works with Terry. We’ve just skimmed the surface of his immense back catalog of recordings so far.
We had a great time hanging out with Terry Stamp. Here’s an incredible version of “Fatsticks”. We’re working with Terry on a new album. Stay tuned, true believers
