Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is at its core the most historically pure role-playing game I've played. The rawness of the title is its strength and that is something that I’d completely missed on my poor attempt to play the first game. KCD2 is like a medieval LARP on steroids and I'm here for it. This week I visited the Ubisoft office in Sydney to preview the new Assassin's Creed Shadows game.

Gotta say, I loved meeting some other people in the field and was really surprised with the history of the company on display around the office.

It was a nice reminder of how many titles that I have fond memories of came from this company. Games like Far Cry, Mario & Rabbid's and previous Assassin's Creed titles. (special mention to Chorizo the Dog from Far Cry 6 who was hiding in a shelf at the back)

While there I spoke to Luc Plante from Ubisoft Québec about the new game and I'll be able to share my impressions of playing it on January 24 so check back then for my thoughts on it.

CES 2025 is on at the moment and there's some really cool announcements coming out of it. ASUS have presented the new range of Republic of Gamer devices and I'm excited to be able to try some of these out this year and give my thoughts on them. The new ROG Strix range has especially captured my interest as they have some really innovative features, some never before seen on a laptop.
