85. Bohemian Rhapsody - Always been a fan of Queen, and seeing there story told in such a great way was awesome.

86. Batman: Hush - Great addition to the DC animated catalog. Did not see it coming. Damien giving Bruce safe s*x tips was hilarious.

87. Godzilla: King of the Monsters - Very well done. Seeing all the monsters battling it out was really cool. Can not wait for ‘King Kong vs Godzilla’

88. Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling - Nostalgia in its purest form. I loved how the 90s blended with today so seamlessly. Please make this a new series.

89. Detective Pikachu - A lot better than I thought it would be. The ending makes the movie make a lot of sense, and that ‘Angels with Filthy Souls’ cameo was great!

90. Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus - Second Nostalgia trip in two days. It felt like old times. GiR will always be my favorite!

91. Batman: Gotham Knight - Nice little anthology series. Totally caught by surprise with the Kevin Conroy appearance. Also Zack Snyder should have watched the short ‘Field Test’ to understand Batman better.

92. Holmes & Watson - This movie... was just bad. I regret watching it. They can do better. The only thing that gotta a laugh out of me was the Billy Zane bit.

79. Mythica 3: the Necromancer - Back to this series. This is the one that I don’t remember too well.

80. Kim Possible (2019) - Why was this a thing? Drakken and Shego were the best parts, but other than that it was kinda just, eh. Oh except for Patton Oswald playing the character he originally voiced was cool.

81. Mythica 4: The Iron Crown - I liked this one. Matthew Mercer was perfectly menacing. I liked the war wagon thing. And making the annoying princess into a zombie was fun.

82. Mythica 5: The Godslayer - The series ends. Loved the sacrifice play and the cameo for this one. Best of the series.

83. Predator - To be watched every Valentines Day. I avoided this one as a kid due to the ‘Alien’ issues, but it was a lot of fun.

84. Gangs of New York - Salute to Daniel Day Lewis and Leonardo DiCaprio for their wonderful performances. Did not recognize that that was Cameron Diaz. She did really well.

73. Hotel Transylvania 3 - Fun third film. Nothing spectacular, but Van Helsing was a cool character design.

74. Christopher Robin - Such a sweet movie. Love Pooh and this movie made me cry all the tears.

75. Now you see me - As a fan of magic I really enjoyed this one. And that twist was ‘Saw’ level out of nowhere.

76. King Kong (1933) - Checked off the list. Ground breaking visual effects for this cinema classic. Not much more to say.

77. When we first met - cute little time traveling rom-com I found on Netflix. Concepts been done before, but I enjoyed the end decision making.

78. Hellboy (2019) - This should have been a great movie. Something was off with it though. The ending wasn’t great, but I liked the rest of it. David Harbour was fine as red too.

67. Escape From New York - Gods I love John Carpenter. Visually stunning, great score (obviously), and cool premise.

68. The Birds - Another on checked off the “how have you not seen that” list. Really well put together and genuinely frightening.

69. Alien - This was the one movie that terrified me as a child. Finally watched it and it was a superb suspense movie. Really liked it. Slow pacing and all.

70. Aliens - Switching gears yo an action movie was a good choice. Lots of fun and memorable lines.

71. Idiocracy - This is the path our world seems to be heading in. Crazy antics make for a fun movie though. And the pimp is comin’ for his money.

72. Spider-man Far from home - Well done again Marvel. Mysterio was done very well, to the point that I even doubted if he was a villain at one point. One of the villains in the MCU. Only thing is (barring the end) I feel like they are given away Spideys secret ID to easily. First May, now MJ. Come on Peter! J.K.’s surprise cameo was wonderful.

61. Flash Gordon - why did it take me so long to see this? Super cheesy, yet super fun. Will definitely watch again.

62. Robin Hood - I throughly enjoyed this rendition. I wish it had been more popular, as I would have loved to see another installment.

63. Happy Death Day - Played our premise with a fun twist. It’s literally can be pitched as ‘Groundhogs Day’ meets ‘The Butterfly Effect’. It sucks though that the killer was spoiled for me when I saw the trailer for the 2nd one.

64. Happy Death Day 2u - Nice way to continue the story and I’m interested in the prospect of a possible 3rd one.

65. Strangers on a Train - Saw this as a surprise and it was wonderful. Master of suspense in full form.

66. Dead Poets Society - Finally checked this one off of my list. It was so good. Did expect half of what happened. Makes me miss Robin.

24. The Highwaymen - A great Netflix original. Superb acting and writing. I throughly enjoyed the fact that we didn’t get to see Bonnie and Clyde until the end as the story should have been and was about the Rangers hunting them down.

25. Life of the Party - Raunchy comedies are always a hoot and this one is no different. Macarthy really shines with her wit here and helped wash the taste of Ghostbusters out of my mouth.

26. Blockers - Coming of age prom story about over protective parents? How was this not done sooner? Fun movie.

27. Don’t tell Mom the babysitter’s dead - I remembered bits an pieces of this one, but I’d clearly never actually seen it. It was a cool throwback (from my perspective) movie to the kind of stuff I grew up on.

28. Skyscraper - The Rock in a towering inferno. Cool.

1. The LEGO movie 2 - Everything is only kinda awesome. Not as good as the first one (not anywhere close to LEGO Batman, but still a good watch.

18. The Iron Giant - Finally saw this gem of a movie. It was everything people told me it would be and more. The Giant’s desire to be like Superman was magical.

19. WolfCop - Such a bizarre movie. Been wanting to see this one for a while, based off the epic poster, but other than some cool practical effects it was kind of a let down.

20. Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy - Fun British humor, and Alan Rickman as the depressed robot was hilarious. I can see why so many like it.

21. Batman vs TMNT - I never thought I’d see (or want to see) a crossover like this, but here we are and it was epic! I adored Doni & Batgirl nerding out, Mikey getting to push all the buttons, and Batman vs Shedder was awe inducing.

22. Double Dragon - So 90’s. I mean what even was this movie. Robert Patrick as a weird villainy shadow? But at least there was a young Alyssa Milano in this one and she’s always a sight to see.

23. Independence Day: Resurgence - Sadly we won’t be getting a 3rd. I actually enjoyed this one and it made a lot of sense depicting a world 20 years later after all the ships landed. It wasn’t nearly as good as the first one though.

12. Lucy - Interesting, all be it faulty, premise. That ending was so weird!

13. Madman - Not a great slasher movie, but one with a unique fridge scene.

14. Justice League vs. The Fatal Five - The Bruce Timm esthetic was great. I rewatched the group shot where the ‘Justice League’ theme plays multiple times.

15. Blade Runner - I watched the Theatrical Version of this and I enjoyed it. Seeing Lt. Einhorn was an unexpected surprise. The tears in the rain speech was beautiful.

16. Avengers: Endgame - I’ve only wanted one thing to happen in the Avengers movies and I finally got it in this one. Hearing Cap say “Avengers... assemble” made me squeal with nerdy joy. Ended up having a lot more questions after the movie, but overall it was great.

17. Stan & Ollie - This movie was b-e-a-utiful. John C. Riley is such an underrated actor. I was always an Abbot and Costello fan growing up, but after seeing this picture I watched a bunch of Laurel & Hardy clips on YouTube. They were great!

6. The Kid Who would be King - This was a lot of fun. Always a fan of Arthurian legend and this was a grand addition to that.

7. Q: the winged serpent - Fun flick (best word to describe it) and the sleazy guy was great.

8. Society - Do not watch this movie if you are not a hardcore horror/effects fan. It will gross you out. I’m a giant fan and even I felt the reflex. Really cool poster though.

9. Shazam! - One of my favorite DC characters and his big screw outing was super fun! Can’t wait to see either a sequel or a team up.

10. Night of the Living Dead (68) - Finally sat down and watched this. Slow and suspenseful build, atmospheric tension throughout. Understandably a classic.

11. Baby Driver - Edgar Wright’s camera work is second to none. All the subtleties that he works in makes any of his movies worth a watch and with music being a main focus here, he doesn’t disappoint.

31. Mythica: A Quest for Heroes - Not bad for a such a low budget. Writing could have been a bit sharper, but the cast was a lot of fun and I enjoyed watching them through the 5 part saga.

1. Conan: The Barbarian 82’ - Another movie I never saw all of as a kid. I’ve seen ‘Destroyer’ plenty though. Fun Arnie movie and super fun fantasy movie. James Earl Jones is creepy for sure. Conan telling Crom ‘to hell with you’ is my favorite part.

2. C.H.U.D. - Joe Bob’s Last Drive In series on Shudder gave me a bunch of weird and cool movies to add to my list, this one being the first. It was definitely an 80’s movie and Daniel Stern to me was the highlight.

3. Castle Freak - another movie courtesy of Joe Bob. I really liked this one. I think it mostly has to do with Jeffrey Combs, as he’s one of my favorite actors.

4. Dungeons & Dragons - this was not good. I know this isn’t breaking news, but by the Gods was this bad. And they even set it up for a sequel. The producers of this movie rolled a “1” on their Intelligence save.

5. Mythica 2: The Darkspore - Fun adventure and more world building.

25. The Last Starfighter - I remember seeing some of this as a kid, but I clearly never watched all of it. It was a really cool premise that is beginning for a remake (which I hear has been tried to have happen, but to no avail). Effects maybe dated, but still a fun ride.

26. Wreck it Ralph 2 - Super fun commentary on the internet today. Also has a good main arc about friendship.

27. Assassin’s Creed - Visually awesome. However, it didn’t capture the majesty of the games. Also the animus being a giant arm was bizarre.

28. Mission Impossible: Fallout - The MI series is one of the last constantly good action franchises. Practical stunts will always beat out CGI ones. Other than the mustache that messed up Superman, nothing bad to say about this.

29. Captain Marvel - I’ve heard a lot of people talk crap about this movie, but I thought it was well done. Nice twist that I didn’t see coming and loved the story behind Fury’s eye. Could’ve used more Coulson, but that’s about it.

30. Mad Max: Fury Road - First Mad Max movie I’ve ever seen (rest are on my watch list) and it was weird. I only watched it out of order at a friends request. Furiosa was cool, but Max was a giant dick. Also, couldn’t hear almost anything he said.

19. Ex-Machina - A very cool and surreal movie. Alicia Vikander did an outstanding job as AvA and I was transfixed by not only her performance, but also the visual effects.

20. The Boondock Saints 2: All Saints Day - not as good as the first one, but still kinda fun. Loved seeing Julie Benz in anything, but I did not recognize her at first and was shocked to realize that was her.

21. Anon - Neo-noir can be hard to do at times, but this one did it great. It’s not overly visual like others of its genre, but it gives off pledges future vibes.

22. Io - I remember liking this movie, but being slightly confounded by it. It’s one of those that when you finish it you kind of tilt your head and say ‘huh’.

23. Gods & Monsters - Soooo good. I’ve been wanting to watch this film for a while and it was worth the wait for sure. As a big fan of the Universal classics, seeing a James Whale biopic was pure joy. And with Ian Mckellen and Brendon Frasier giving wonderful performances, this is going on my list of favorite biopics along with ‘Ed Wood’ and ‘Stan and Ollie’

24. Fighting with My Family - I got to see an advance screening of this and I’m so glad I did, it was a fun wrestling fans movie with enough heart to attract non-fans as well. I hope we get other wrestler inspired movies in the future.

13. Rampage - Grew up on the game and only played the & games a little bit. Overall, a fun over the top action movie that makes no logical sense if given too much thought.

14. Upgrade - such a good movie!!! Throughly enjoyed this a sci-fi tale. The ending was top notch. Definitely a favorite.

15. Reign of the Supermen - Fun follow up to ‘Death of Superman’ and with my enjoyment of CWs ‘Supergirl’ the Hank Henshaw stuff added an extra layer for me.

16. John Wick Chapter 2 - Action movie perfection. Can’t remember much about the plot, but I know I’m excited for Chapter 3.

17. Glass - I was so hyped for this movie. But it mostly fell flat for me. After having time since my viewing to reflect, I don’t think it’s a bad wrap up to the series. But, I definitely wanted to see more.

18. Dragon Ball Super: Broly - Awesome. Just awesome. Broly is one of the best non-main Dragon Ball characters and now he’s finally canon. This movie was much better than the other Broly movies (especially Bio-Broly. *shutter*) Here’s hoping we’ll get more Dragon Ball on the big screen.

Aquaman - James Wan is a phenomenal director and he brings that to this film. Plus with a really good cast consisting of Jason Momoa, Willem Dafoe, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Nicole Kidman, & Dolph Lundgren plus more that I’m sure I can’t recall currently. Very good addition to the DC film universe.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle - I grew up with the original and it was one of my favorite films from my past, so I was slightly hesitant of this new one. However, with The Rock at the helm my concerns were quickly quelled. Really added to the mythology of the series and has me excited for the next one!

The Boondock Saints - I was worried about all the hype surrounding this one, but I was actually pleasantly surprised with this film. I had seen a clip years prior to this viewing of Willem Dafoe’s dress scene later in the film and I was completely flabbergasted by what I saw, but once I saw the full film it made perfect sense and it was a great character performance. The rest of the film was also well made, with the noir scenes being a great touch.

Ready Player One - Nostalgia filled romp. It was fun and the story of the oasis egg hunt was engaging. The only thing I had an issue with was seeing Freddy Kruger and Jason Voorhees being dispatched so easily. I understand why, but the horror fan in me had problems. Though the Chucky gr***de helped make up for it.

Jurassic World 2 - Fun flick, but other then the little bit of Blue stuff it’s not very memorable.

Venom - Tom Hardy gives a splendid performance in this film. I’ve never been a huge fan of Venom, but I enjoyed this fir what it was. Could have used more Spider-man.

Batman & Harley Quinn - A fun, more adult take on the Bruce Timm Batman series. Felt the ending was a bit to abrupt and that fart joke went on way too long.

Batman: Gotham by Gaslight - Great film. Did not see the twist coming (haven’t read the source comic, so I’m unsure if it’s the same in there or not) and it made so much sense when I thought about it. Nice classic Batman take that kept me guessing.

Su***de Squad: Hell to pay - Fun little follow up. Nothing remarkable to say, but I did enjoy it. Especially the Waller stuff, though I’m always a fan of her character.

Unbreakable - Disappointing. I wanted to watch this in prep for ‘Glass’ to come out, as the trailer had me excited. I missed ‘Unbreakable’ when it first came out and maybe it was the hype surrounding this film that made me not like it, but it just didn’t hit for me. M. Night also made some bizarre cinematic choices in my opinion. Maybe it deserves a re-watch someday, but I did not enjoy this film upon first viewing.

Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse - By the Gods this movie is simply Amazing! (or spectacular, or sensational, or dare I say superior!) I adore the web-head and getting to see the amount of love and respect for the character (not just Peter either, but all the variants) shown in the film just brings a tear to my eye. Definitely one of my favorites for the year.

Split - Best of the trilogy by far. It could be because I’m a horror nut at heart, but this was an absolute masterpiece. Much of it has to do with James McAvoy’s brilliant performance. Absolutely great, despite the other two.
