A tragic incident occurred in western Kenya resulting in the death of at least 51 individuals. The accident took place at a well-known intersection when a truck driver, unable to maintain control of their vehicle, collided with other drivers on the road.

Raila Odinga, the head of the Azimio la Umoja Coalition, has asked his parliamentary colleagues to vote against the Finance Bill. According to Odinga, the proposed tariffs that would be imposed after their passage will put further strain on Kenyans. If the law is approved by Parliament, he has promised to organize protests on the streets. "If [President] Ruto insists on this bill, the nation will enter a full recession. This bill is a disease that cannot be healed. Additionally, we have decided that Azimio MPs will oppose any tax increases," he stated. "Should Ruto overrun the national assembly, we will regroup and overrun him in a wider national assembly of the whole people of Kenya," he said at a news conference on Wednesday.
