On the palm-side of your wrist is the carpal tunnel: a narrow passageway formed by bones, tendons, and ligaments. The median nerve and the tendons that flex the wrist pass through this opening. Sometimes repetitive motions (such as frequent typing), wrist fracture, arthritis, or fluid retention cause the tendons to become inflamed and compress the median nerve, which can cause numbness, pain, and eventual weakness in the hand. This condition is characterized as carpal tunnel syndrome.

Viikonloppu vierähti olkapääkoulutuksessa Helsingissä. Luvassa oli kaksi faktojen täyttämää päivää ja tuoretta tutkimustietoa olkapäävaivojen hoidosta. Päiviin mahtui kunnon pläjäys niin teoriaa kuin käytäntöäkin, jota päästy asiakastyössäkin jo testaamaan 👌🏻 kouluttajaa lainatakseni "you can't go wrong gettin strong" ja tämä teema tuli selkeästi esille käytäessä läpi kuntoutusta, jossa korostuu harjoittelun merkitys.
