What an amazing turnout today for Naomi and Jack's Clarendon Way Walk from Wi******er to Salisbury.

The pit stop we visited was manned by a team of volunteers including Partridge BMW who provided snacks, water bottles and lots of sandwiches.

The kitchen ladies made endless cups of tea and coffee and Astrix Waterside Medical were on hand for check-ups.

Seeing really kind people go the extra mile really warms our heart and a huge well done to all the walkers raising money for Naomi and Jack’s children’s and young adults hospices.

To the people that dumped wearable shoes, clothes and toys at The Cattle Market recycling bins, maybe next time you could bag up your things and actually put them in the bins.

Perhaps otherwise you could have taken all of your unwanted stuff to a charity shop where they could have made money for good causes. Naomi and Jack's Winnall warehouse and Emmaus Hampshire have lots of free parking right outside.

Perhaps you could have left the coats on The Arc, Wi******er’s ‘help yourself’ rail, and left any men’s stuff with The Wi******er Beacon.

Perhaps you could have given the toys to your local primary school.

Perhaps you could have donated the shopping trolley you dumped to St John's Wi******er for its residents to use.

It made us very sad to see this this morning. All it takes is a little bit of effort to do the right thing.

We’ve bagged up as much as we can and put it in the charity bin for the person or people who dumped it on a drizzly day ….the rest is too wet to go anywhere now...

Buying from auction is fun. We’ve done a lot of it over the years and Andrew Smith & Son Fine Art Auctioneers & Valuers near Alresford is where we’ve found lots of treasures.

Its monthly auctions include a Saturday auction where you’ll find lower cost furniture, jewellery, home accessories and lots of garden furniture.

That’s on today. And the friendly team will guide you on how to bid if you go in person or you can bid online.

The best thing is that you’ll be doing your bit to recycle and re-use, while also picking up quality, hand-made furniture that is often cheaper than IKEA.

Take a look at: www.andrewsmithandson.com and sign up online to bid live. Or visit the auction house in person this morning. You’ll have to be speedy though as the auction starts at 9am although you can join in at any time.

We don’t cover political issues as a rule on this page. But we can’t agree enough with Danny Chambers MP…

Great to see the Mayor of Wi******er at the launch of ‘The Everyday’, a new exhibition from local artists’ collective The Colour Factory at The Arc, Wi******er.

The Colour Factory has been operating locally for the past 32 years in the old park keeper’s lodge on the edge of River Park. It is a not-for-profit organisation, of which each of the artists are directors and contribute to its day-to-day running.

They all have their own studios and also run workshops and courses, and work on bespoke pieces and community projects.

We particularly love Jenny Muncaster’s still lifes and have several hanging on our walls.

We love a pop-up and this is new on High Street. Think Jigsaw could do with popping some prices on the clothes in its window, but otherwise expect clothes, shoes and accessories with a massive discount in-store.

Starting the working week with a coffee (and the dog) in the lovely garden at Hotel du Vin Wi******er. A perfect way to combine a walk along the Watermeadows with a stop for lunch - or just a coffee. And there’s free parking too. Dogs, children and anyone else very welcome to roam in the garden while enjoying great service and a bit of hush.

So he didn’t win Britain's Got Talent tonight, but Rafferty Coope will always be Wi******er’s ‘winning act’.

The Pilgrims' School, Wi******er and Peter Symonds Sixth Form College student has been a delight to watch on the ITV show and we know it’ll be only be a matter of time before he’s doing his magic on the next big stage.

Save 25 per cent off Tea & Tonic Apothecary treatments which have launched today at The Wi******er Hotel and Spa on Worthy Lane.

Based in the Surrey Hills,Tea & Tonic uses high quality British-grown herbs and botanicals in its wellbeing range which includes aromatic oils, herbal teas, skincare and aromatherapy oils.

We sampled the Inviting Sleep massage, 40 minutes of utter bliss with Patricia, which included a back, neck, shoulders and scalp massage. We were left so relaxed that we felt like we'd had a long snooze. It's £69 before your 25 per cent discount.

The treatment ends with a choice of rejuvenating or relaxing herbal teas from the Tea & Tonic range and it's recommended to leave the oil, infused with lavender, holy basil, blackcurrant and sandalwood, on your body to nourishes your skin - and your senses.

The offer runs until the end of June but excludes Saturdays. Just mention Wi******er Magazine when you book.
