Llyro Just A Vibe. Messing with frequencies and bass Llyro, 28 years old, had an eye-opening story to narrate. There were a ton of difficulties on Jason’s path though.

And the passion which he feels for his career plans was so palpable that it can get anyone engaged in his conversation. In the friendliest of interviews that I have experienced, Jason introduced me to his career goals and the meandering life path that he’s led over the years. ng since early life. With a background of Graphic Design along with software like AutoCAD and Photoshop, he has now decided to choose the adventurous path of being a music producer. In a beautiful twist of events, Jason got the opportunity to travel to France for two years where he studied Graphic Design in Bellecours Ecole d’Art in Lyon. France was the place he discovered his true passion for becoming a music producer. After previously working as a barman in one of the night clubs in France, he sent a few mails to its manager to set up an interview with him where he displayed his skills in being a DJ, and to his luck, received a positive response from the manager. Since then, he played at the club and got paid a decent amount for it too! While experimenting with music there, he was approached by a UK Label called Sync Records, which really liked a piece of music that Jason had created. This proved to be a turning point in his life since it helped him acquire a better international existence. The label serves to promote his music through its online site, and receives about 45% of commission on the profit that he makes. Jason also has some experience as a marketing agent in a few local events in Mauritius itself, like playing in the Shots Club of Flic en Flac. Jason has a small home studio near Rose Hill which he is very passionate about. He’s been planning on performing a few collaborations with his friends that are singers too. With time, Jason will plan to expand his home studio by battling down the difficulties he comes across and set up a successful business out of it. And by the way he talked about it, it seems like it will work out brilliantly. It wasn’t a free ride. There were times in his life when he gave up on music for months when things would get very rough in life, but he realized later that music is where his heart and soul lies. Music is where he can escape to when the going got tough. Mauritius is hard on young, inexperienced DJ’s and they tend to stick to older, well-known established DJ’s. Jason had to persevere through a long time before he could even play at any big club. The managers agreed to let him play for free after a lot of waiting. But even though it was for free, it’s the first step in his career as a DJ, since it gave him an opportunity to show off his talent and even test out the audience’s reaction to his music. One more thing he found out was that Mauritius offered limited and standard courses that the population can acquire a degree in. Comparatively, in France the atmosphere was so much more liberal in the sense that there are innumerable number of schools for all sorts of courses varying from dance schools to fashion designing institutions. Mauritius needs to improve in that sense, because no one can study dance and fashion or maybe even the Opera here and make a viable career out of it. But the culture in Mauritius is unparalleled. Jason found that his country is much more lively and friendlier than France. He had to return home to his friends and family and be involved in everyone’s lives back home than in France. Even the fact that the materials needed for his studio like speakers and sound resolution instruments are more expensive in Mauritius since they are needed to be imported through online sites like eBay is overshadowed by his passion to build a successful life on the island. Jason returned back to the island about a week ago, as of June 2015, and had his first interview to work as a Graphic Designer in a company that makes packaging for ready made food items. The interview went quite well, and he hopes to get a job there by next week. Handling the house studio and a job at the same time can be quite a task, but with the passion that he possesses, it can easily be possible. It is hard to find such bubbling and friendly people everywhere. They serve as sources of great inspiration to the rest of us to get out there with both feet and make something worthwhile out of our lives, get ourselves introduced with a variety of ideas and mindsets. There is a common English saying that goes – an empty mind is the Devil’s workshop. I believe if we just look around carefully, we find that there are a lot of opportunities that are waiting to be grasped. And it is up to us to choose what to do with them. Life can get a little hard without the right amount of moral, financial and intellectual support, but the most important thing is to reach out and make a presence of your own.
