Can't believe The Slop Shack turns 5 today! Feels like only yesterday that improv group Old Man Jenkins gathered around a table with scrounged together audio gear to record a podcast... and now 1,826 days later we've transformed from a podcast network into so much more. But best of all: The Slop Shack has become a safe haven for over a hundred local creatives to create weird and unique art. The Slop Shack is officially 4️⃣ years old⁉️ In 2021 we put all our resources into creating our biggest project yet: A mockumentary about adult film music in the 1970s (because the world was desperate to know the truth about sexy sax music). We also released the season finale of FIN VS THE INTERNET Season 1 and began production on Season 2! Both projects will launch on the channel in Early 2022 so stay tuned for news in the next couple of weeks. 🤘

The Slop Shack also partnered with some incredible new businesses like The Whole Zombie, Running Mantis Entertainment and Taylah Made Films - so make sure to follow those pages to stay up to date with our portfolio.

Other highlights included: Getting monetised, recieving our first YouTube paychecks and recieving over 120,000 views on our Ram Ranch documentary (WTF?!).

2022 promises to be a return to regular content - so prepare to shack up with us for a while. Much love and season's greetings to all our friends, family and fellow creators. You guys continue to make Brisbane an incredible place to make art. 💚💜

🎷 Two weeks ago, we wrapped filming on our most ambitious project yet - GROOVE: THE UNTOLD STORY OF G.E. SMOOTH - a musical mockumentary about the sax god of the seventies.
🎬 We had the grooviest crew and the funkiest time on a truly breathtaking set up at the Fox's Lair Inn in Mount Mee.
