Before there were The Projects, there was Miss Mend. In June of 1999 they recorded a 4-track session for John Peel’s BBC radio show. Next month Tip Top Recordings is delighted to release those tracks physically for the first time on bright orange vinyl and in all their noisy ‘fin de siecle’ glory. Pre- order to follow.

In Huge Gesturing Loops is a new ambient solo album by multi-instrumentalist and member Jim Wallis, built around recordings by the acclaimed pedal steel player and supplemented with piano, strings, synths and field recordings to create six hypnotic and enveloping tracks. You can listen to the first two singles Set My Watch To You and Ciphers, here, there, and everywhere now.

There’s no time like right now to tell you Chris Harwood has joined Colour TV as our new bass guitarist. We’ve exbanded to a 5-piece, with James swapping four strings for six. 🎸

Chris says: “After failed auditions for Public Access T.V. and Japanese TV, I have finally found a television themed band that like my basslines.” 🗞️

If you’ve heard his work with Wish Hounds you’ll understand how lucky we are to have Chris. Feet on the pedal! Make him feel welcome and don’t miss tomorrow’s news… 🛣️
