Went out with yesterday for a night walk next to Aberdeen Reservoir. Recently purchased the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra. Sure it can't run Google services, but it sure does have a decent camera. All these were taken by the Huawei.

Kaiping Diaolou and Villages feature the Diaolou, multi-storeyed defensive village houses in Kaiping, which display a complex and flamboyant fusion of Chinese and Western structural and decorative forms. I've always wanted to visit Kaiping. Traditionally known for its Diaolou, or watch towers, Kaiping is becoming a very tourist friendly town here in Guangdong Province.

Needed to burn some PTO before my company cuts half of what I've accrued.. so I took a quick 24 hour trip to Puerto Vallarta. It's my first time in Mexico. Was nice to get away from San Francisco's chilly weather for a few hours.

Perseid meteor shower. I owe it to one of my friends for dragging me out here. San Francisco always has such a depressing fog that cover the skys at night, so we ended up driving 2 hours south, and up a mountain to get this view. They say the meteor shower has like 50 meteors per hour. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to ever get one on camera.. the lower streak is an airplane, and the meteors are my Photoshop skills.

With the recent King Tide events, we've had both high tides, and low tides. When the water recedes, a unique opportunity arises and you can walk far out into the area that is usually covered by the sea. Lot of foragers out there today harvesting mussels and sea urchin. Lots of people caught harvesting without a license 😳

You can find great people in all the places you visit. I'm currently in New Castle pennsylvania, and as I was driving around some random streets, I couldn't resist giving the Chinese restaurant a try. After a friendly chat with the owner/employee, he gave me my meal for free. This food is a nice welcome, especially since I've been living off of Fast food for the last two days.

Montreal has what they call an underground city. With over 33 kilometers of tunnels containing shops, restaurants, and connections between major metro stations, businesses, malls, and hotels. Unfortunately, it looks most of the businesses down there only open on weekdays, whereas I went on a weekend. The tunnels were almost empty!

Left Montreal last night. Before I rushed to the airport for a covid test, I hiked up the highly recommend Mount Royal to get a view of the city. There are many places left unexplored, many places I hope I can see in the future.
