can be difficult.
Especially if you grew up with a parent that constantly compared you to other children, your siblings, your friends, random kids in public ...

You are always attempting to 'measure up' to the most influential person in the room as a child, & that doesn't just magically stop when you move out as an adult.

We are constantly feeling less than & .

Step 1:
Be & that you are in Comparison mode.

Step2:
Accept the thoughts for what they are. When you realize that is creating in your abilities, ask yourself WHY these feelings & thoughts are arising. Do you hear the words IN YOUR VOICE? OR IN SOMEONE ELSES. I know for me, if I stop & REALLY listen to the voice in a way, it's not usually my voice, but it's one of a few that I will recognize. That is one way to identify that these thoughts are not mine & they do not belong to me.

Step 3:

To do what's been done we must do the opposite but in the same way to undo in the same capacity.

What does that even mean?

You have been feed the of which the thoughts that led to unpleasant actions. Therefore to undo what's been done we must walk backwards in the same path, replacing the negative words with words. your thought process is a productive tool to have in your toolbelt of life.

Step 4:

Put your new tools to work.
The project doesn't get built if we only own the tools. We have to USE these tools in a productive way to build the thing.

And if you build it 'THEY' will come.
They meaning positivity into your life.
Meaning breaking the loop of negative self-talk & focusing on .

You only need to be you.
You don't need to look like anyone but you.
You don't need to act like anyone but you.
You don't need anyone else's life but YOURS!

So, when she became a nurse, it seemed natural, because if it's uncomfortable & hits the other two points, it's probably worth doing.

Even when she had found her she still struggled to find the perfect recipe to that purpose. There were ups & downs, highs & lows of , until she found the right type of nursing that became the right environment to .

When she met Katie Walters & heard her story, those core values sang. This amazing story within the story was eye opening! Katie didn't know the why she was supposed to be where she was. It looked like there was no purpose, but she saw the need & used it to bridge a gap in bettering the community & economy of Togo! This group of women saw an opportunity to make a difference which lead to others showing a city how to create generational change in education, health, & financial growth.

Francis + Benedict found a sustainable business model that produces a better life for everyone blessed by its ripple effect.

Change starts with opening your eyes to opportunities, using your ears to hear the message, & a pure heart to fuel the passions of another.

As we say goodbye to Tina Curtis, Your Home Girl... we dug into comparison for the episode before the revamp of Untamed Psyche... (the excitement is TBD!)

Comparing yourself to others can be an & a to more issues such as .

can be healthy, but it can also lead to .
Not everyone's looks the same.

With comparison, we are always attempting to 'measure up' to the most influential person in the room as a child, & that doesn't just magically stop when you move out as an adult.
We are constantly feeling less than & .

Step 1:
Be aware & cognitive that you are in Comparison mode.

Step2:

When you realize that negative self-talk is creating in your abilities, ask yourself WHY these feelings & thoughts are arising.

Everyone was surprised that the cheetah did not budge from its place.

We asked the race coordinator what happened.
After seeing this picture, he replied: Sometimes trying to prove that you are the best is an insult.

We do not need to go down to the level of others, to show our strength.

Think carefully and save your energy for what you
deserve...

The cheetah uses its speed only to hunt, not to prove to the dogs that it is the fastest and strongest."

This will be Tina Curtis last Episode on our podcast & as we say goodbye & hello to a revamp we focused on .

When we to others, we are our own worst critics.

I'm sure some of you can relate.

We are much harder on ourselves than we are with others because we hold ourselves to a higher standard than we typically expect from others.

Being tough on yourself creates a high bar & you will typically surpass others expecting easily.

We need to be by mind & heart❤️.

Without self-discipline, you will not be in a position to complete your personal & professional functions, manage time well, handle people well, persist through tough times, take care of your health etc.

By being tough with yourself, you will begin to handle yourself more deliberately, on your own terms rather than reacting to life the way a leaf is floating in a stream without any direction.

5 reasons being hard on yourself can be beneficial:

💥It will make you look back on your experiences from different perspectives. Whenever we broaden our perspective, we gain new insights & awareness of what we could have done differently or better. Just being able to ask ourselves questions such as, “What was good about this experience?” or “What did I learn from this experience?” can be valuable.

💥It will help you develop more patience.
Often we’re hard on ourselves when we don’t get something when we expected to, so being able to train ourselves to continue to persist and take the necessary actions will help us develop patience. It’s about knowing the result we want is on its way rather than focusing on why we haven’t got it yet.

💥You can train yourself to be your own coach. Whenever we’re hard on ourselves, we can use it as the trigger to coach ourselves through whatever we’re experiencing. Instead of having dis-empowering and critical thoughts, we can go into “coach” mode and turn them around into empowering and more productive thoughts, just by asking ourselves different questions.

💥You are acknowledging you can improve or do things better. One of the best things about being hard on ourselves is we already know we could have done things differently or better. This can motivate us to be the best we can be and continually raise our own standards. Next time we’re in a similar situation, we’ll respond a lot better.

💥You will develop more compassion for others.
Just knowing we don’t feel good when we do something we know we could have done better, will help us be more accepting & tolerant when others don’t do as well as they could have. This doesn’t mean it’s okay not to do our best or accept poor performance from others, it means we’ll be able to show more empathy and care when others are struggling.

There is a line between holding yourself to a higher standard & though.

Make sure you aren't crossing that line. We know that being hard on ourselves can be & because it can:

💢Affect our & .
💢Make us doubt ourselves when we are attempting something new.
💢Cause us to be unhappy or sad.
💢Affect the way we communicate with others.
💢Put a strain on our personal & professional relationships.

People are poor forecasters of their future selves ~Morgan Housel

How many times have we set out to do something & we don't accomplish it 🤚

Or

Had amazing intentions but caused more issues than when you originally started 👋
Then we feel like but we aren't we just failed to have a proper plan & see things through.

5 years ago what was your 5 year plan? Did you check off all the boxes this year when your 5 year was up?
🩷Financially?
🩵Emotionally?
🩶Physically?

If you're anything like me then probably not. However, there are things in life we can't predict & we have to pivot, which could slow, derail, excel, or dissolve your future plans.

That's ok.
I'm closer to my mark then I was 5 years ago.

We have to learn as adults it's ok to change your mind, that's not you failing or going back on your word, that's you making your life work.

When we were kids we would set out to rally our friends to play a game but we ended up doing something different, but we still progressed into having fun. Why is that ok as children but not as adults? Why do we feel like we need a ridged plan to be successful?

Eric Thompson said it best...
There's a difference between a sniper and a gunman.
💙A gunman may shoot up a whole building and only get 3 people but they've spent a lot of energy.

💚A sniper is focused, they don't take bathroom breaks, they hunt in one spot for 3 days until the perfect opportunity & then they pull the trigger.

So I know that sounds opposite of my opening statement, but a sniper doesn't know exactly what the will be like during the moment of ex*****on.
He pivots INTO success.

He takes advantage of the opportunity & executes in the right moment.
but

Stay in 1 place ... conceal your future & conserve your energy.

Then show for your knowledge of a successful ex*****on.

I see too many times that when the plan didn't go the way it was originally constructed, the planner still felt they failed, even though the outcome was there.

It's time to make a change, a change within ourselves to go back to our childlike mentalities to be able to enjoy our moments & stop thinking because we are adults we have to live mechanically.

It's time to "Relish in your & in gratitude then make a plan to secure your future." ~K.Marazzi

It is with a lot of thought and consideration that I have decided to step away from Untamed Psyche, effective immediately. Krys Marazzi will continue hosting the Untamed Psyche Podcast. You may hear another one or two episodes with me as we pre-record them in advance.

Co-hosting with her to connect the community with local businesses has been a privilege. I look forward to this next phase as I focus on my real estate and design businesses while devoting more time to my family and helping to care for my sick mother. It was a pleasure sharing this part of my journey with all of you. I wish you all the best in your path to healing your hearts and homes. 🥰🦋🩷

"What if hell is being trapped in your biggest regret.
Nagging at you...eating at your ...carrying it around like a weighted bag everyday.
If that's the case then heaven is when you finally let that baggage go..." K.Marazzi

We give , with a story to support it's hold on our lives.
This shackel can paralyze the strongest of survivors.

When we speak our & share our , it no longer anchors us to the ocean floor. By these regrets from our hearts we ourselves to live....we experience .

Exercise to work towards freedom...

Set a timer for 4 min with some ocean sounds or calming sounds in the background & visualize all your regrets from this life...once the timer goes off set another timer for 4 min & write them down.

This is every you can think of that you have experienced heartache of
doing or not doing up until today.

If the timer hasn't gone off then reflect why?
Do you live your life with little regret?
Or are you embarrassed?
Is it too painful to relive?
Write those reasons down too.
Leave nothing to the imagination.

Now put your list into categories C for career P for personal/family & V for vacation.

Then tally up how many you have for each letter.

Do you see a pattern?

But the truth is that even the most successful, driven people have times when there are neither motivated nor inspired.

When we have feelings of or , the next steps are what separate the lucky from the masterstroke of glory.

Do you have:

Passion is what fuels the fire 🔥 for success.
Passion provides us with the to go toward our . It is the or to do something important to you.

Your passion helps you create new ideas & towards your , & helps you become more likely to absorb & dissect information towards your big goal.

Also, the more passionate someone is about their job, the more inclined they are to work hard on self-improvement, increasing their chances of success.

One of the most important benefits of patience in your career is that it allows you to achieve your goals. Facing, pivoting, & overcoming obstacles builds & .
The satisfaction you receive from achieving each goal can help you to stay motivated in your career.

Persistence is important because it allows you to overcome obstacles that you may face. Without persistence, when things get hard, we would winder around aimlessly, looking for someone to tell us what's next. We would quit the tasks when we need the tenacity to push on.

Persistence & are often considered the twin engines that drive individuals toward success. In a world filled with challenges and obstacles, these two qualities stand as pillars of , guiding us through adversity and toward our goals.

Thomas Edison, one of America’s greatest inventors, once said “There is no substitute for hard work.”

Edison also once said “Genius is 1% inspiration & 99% perspiration.

The next time a project or challenge arises, consider that while motivation, inspiration, genius, & talent may all be useful, ultimately hard work is what is needed to accomplish the goal & achieve success. The good news is that this creates a fairly level playing field for everyone that wants to succeed.

Stop looking for the easy way out, roll up the sleeves and get to work.
