Imagine being my long-time friend and thinking you can respond to my post characterizing Kamala Harris for equating Palestinian solidarity as being "pro-Hamas"...... with THIS kinda bu****it response?

Imagine for that matter being this apathetic about a Holocaust!

Non New Yorkers: if you had 36 hours in New York City, what are the top 3 to 5 things you would have to do?

Every argument you hear made in defense of Israel is ALWAYS and ONLY an attempt to distract from (and uphold) genocide, ethnic cleansing, apartheid, war crimes, and an ongoing Holocaust.

Asking a favor. A friend's mother passed away a few months ago. I just got this friend request from a fake account pretending to be her.

I'd like to believe this is just a bot/person making yet another fake profile by duplicating an existing one -- and that this person doesn't know who she is or that we have lost her.

Still, if you could please report this profile as fake (I'll include the link in the comments).

Whether you were her FB friend or not, you should still be able to select "My friend" then copy-paste her FB Profile URL.

I'll provide step-by-step instructions in the comments.

Thank you!

If Audrey II (the carnivorous plant from Little Shop of Horrors) were a country, it would be Israel.

Israel is indifferent to murder and feeds on human blood which it requires in order to grow.

There's something wrong with the way my mind works -- and there's nothing wrong with that.

Here is an example of a conversation I had in my head yesterday on my way home. It doesn't matter that I'm on an electric scooter in NYC traffic, but that is also factual.

So I'm imagining somebody trying to kill me.

And in protest, I tell them "No! Please don't kill me. I have plans later and this will hinder those plans."

When asked what my plans are, I say "to go on living the rest of my life."

When told "that isn't a plan, sir" I then explain to my prospective killer that the actual plan is "just to vibe and kinda figure s**t out as I go."

How is it that nothing before October 7th justifies
October 7th, yet everything after October 7th is justified because of October 7th?

Please. Go NOW to Motaz Azaiza’s Instagram and view his stories.

NOW! Before they’re deleted. Which they will be as he’s being heavily censored.

THIS is what’s being done to civilians in Gaza. CHILDREN in Gaza.

PLEASE BEAR WITNESS WITH YOUR EYES.

It's hard when you love someone, but you realize you're loving a past version of them. There's someone I can think of -- from high school -- who I loved so much. And I still love THAT person.

But they're no longer that person. The person they've become is vile, malicious, and uncaring. I do not love them.

But I still love the them from before then. If that makes any sense.

I've never identified with the idea of "no regrets". I have endless regrets. I don't see a problem with that.

One such regret: when I had only lived in New York a few years, I was walking down 8th Avenue when I saw Rip Taylor walking the opposite direction.

This was maybe 15 years before he died. He would have been in his early to mid 70s. He was leaning a bit on the arm of someone who seemed to be a caretaker.

I remember thinking "Holy s**t! This is Rip fu***ng Taylor!!"

I froze. The New Yorker in me knew -- don't break your stride -- you have somewhere to be -- KEEP WALKING!

But the rest of me said "Ben! Go around the corner. Grab a newspaper. Tear it to shreds. Walk back past him and throw confetti at him!"

But my 'reasonable' side said "Ben, don't THROW something at an elderly man who doesn't know you."

I was wrong.

I should have done it. Now I'll never have that chance.

That is one regret I hold passionately. I see no reason not to regret that.

I can't say this any more plainly:

If you would take money to put on a uniform, and you would strike another UNARMED human being with a baton -- who is not attacking you or anyone else -- you are categorically a bad person.

There are no exceptions. There are no valid arguments to the contrary.

Is there a certain genre of film/television that I'm looking for? Perhaps there's a term for it but I just don't know it exists.

People say a good film needs conflict. Drama. The relationship builds, but then has to face a challenge and either it overcomes it or it does not. The plot is going so well, everybody is happy and prospering, but then something unexpected and awful happens.

People say this is essential to a good story.

Bulls**t.

Maybe I'm in a class of my own. But I *DON'T* need that.

I'm watching Hollywood on Netflix (finally). This show has been SO good to me so far, in terms of letting me think something bad is gonna happen, but then it doesn't, and everyone wins, and all is going well.

Then (spoiler alert) in Episode 6....
....I said spoiler alert. Wanna be respectful. Stop reading if you haven't seen it.

Okay that was sufficient notice. Besides it's been out for years now.

Okay....so in Episode 6 the episode ends with the entire film they made -- being burned. Destroyed.

I didn't need that.

Granted I haven't seen the finale yet. But unless they remake the film and it's even better and the ending is even HAPPIER -- I don't need the film to have been destroyed to have derived value and meaning from this story.

Am I just nuts? Am I somehow missing something?

And if I am missing something -- AM I??? REALLY??? Because here I am getting ENJOYMENT from something...... and everyone else seems to suggest "No, you're not supposed to enjoy that."

Well, I DID. And I DO.

So is there a genre of film/television that gives me this? (Okay, aside from children's television?)

If I see one more slack-jawed YouTuber feigning surprise in a video thumbnail.....

I just found it is indeed possible to make pudding TOO thick and TOO chocolatey.
