Here’s a Reader’s Digest of every conversation happening this week on my timeline.

I state in no uncertain terms that I won’t vote for someone committing genocide.

Everyone and their neighbor tells me I have to vote for Kamala Harris or the end of the world is my fault.

I counter by asking them what is stopping them from telling Kamala that their vote is conditional upon an arms embargo to Israel.

They proceed to dance around the issue thinking all they need to convince me is more hysterics.

I point out said person’s inaction and indifference about Gaza.

Handwringing ensues.

You know I’ve been screaming at you all about Palestine for a decade now. Did you think I was joking? Did you think “No, they famously said Never Again, so another Holocaust could not possibly happen?”

You see regularly fundraising to get food and medicine and clothing to children in Gaza.

I regularly see your names absent from those list of donors. I regularly see you not engage with any of my posts about Palestine. I regularly see you look away when I beg people to share a post to help amplify my friend’s request for help.

In the past ten years I’ve met all kinds of people who care about Palestine, all of whom go to various lengths to help within the limits of their abilities.

You can’t honestly think there are a few words you can string together at this eleventh hour that will fool me into believing you have done your part to help.

If you have followed me for any of the last ten years, you can not pretend you don’t know. You cannot pretend you don’t know this was happening.

I find it pretty revolting that the ONLY time Sacha Baron Cohen has broken character (as Brüno) was when he was being attacked -- BY HIS OWN PEOPLE IN ISRAEL -- because he was presenting as a homosexual.

Only then did he break character and beg them to stop -- because he was being treated the same way those Israelis regularly treat homosexuals in general and, more to my point, the Arabs he was passionately maligning as "terrorists" throughout his film.

Hello my friends, after a year of the war of extermination, we will show you in this video what we have provided in terms of aid and services to families in the northern Gaza Strip, as we were among the first people to provide assistance to families in Gaza, and this is all because of your donations. It has been a year full of difficulties and challenges. We have tried to provide everything necessary to help poor families in Gaza. How I hope that this war will end, in which I lost my home and all my beautiful memories that were in it, and I lost many of my friends and family. Praying for all our loved ones affected by Hurricane Helene.

I would be remiss not to point out, these climate disasters are happening more and more as the result of animal agriculture. CAFOs (concentrated animal feeding operations) produce more emissions than the entire collective transportation sector.

If we want to transform this problem, we need to take radical action.

I stopped eating animals 15 years ago for this reason. I want my ten nieces and nephews to have an inhabitable planet.

Please! We have the power to transform this! We wield that power three times a day with our forks.

Israel literally does not have the right to “defend itself” from Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, or Jordan.

If you disagree, then your logic also suggests Russia has the right to invade and occupy and conquer Ukraine.

At least understand what all of this means rather than just pledging your support to Ukraine because everyone else in your camp is doing so.
