Malta was wildly different than Athens. Felt like a cross between a Star Wars and Game of Thrones Set!

Alexi-mou stole a boat and paddled around. We sang with in Valletta and played pub quiz in Ghiza. I'm glad we went to see another island country, but Athens has my heart. It's WAAAY more awesome in Greece than Malta (no offense to the Maltese).

My new friend Alex took us to Greek circle dancing with Loren Kraut. Souvlaki is my new battle cry!

In other news, I'm on page 107 (single spaced word doc) of writing the novel: 54k words. I've never undertaken such an extensive project, and I'm really proud of myself and these 3 months I'm dedicating to it.

You wanna say goodbye to me, just fu***ng do it at an event I have been running and that will continue to run (and probably more well attended) by others in my absence.

I'm leaving SF because I've never felt more alone, undervalued and unsupported than 2023. SF used to be weird and accepting. SF used to value artists. I thought you were my people, but rampant capitalism, tech bros, entitled as****es and souless comedians have me looking for another city without $17 hamburgers. Good luck in the apocalypse with your fellow artless monsters.

I'll be finishing my musical, making an art film, writing another novel, reclaiming a bountiful and generous soul and trying to be happy, because I've only felt glimmers of that illusive feeling this year (and most of those moments were NOT IN SF). F**k 2023, the worst year yet of my 49.
