'Cabin'

I wanted to push myself to create a piece focused on a landscape. Landscapes and backgrounds have never been my strong suits, but that shouldn’t stop me from trying my best. The most challenging part of this painting was the grass and some of the trees, but thankfully, it turned out well in the end; trusting the process really helped.

I've been wanting to make a bookmark for myself for quite some time now and decided I should give it a shot. I didn't want to make a super-rendered piece, so I decided to work mainly with lineart and keep it simple. This piece, in particular, was inspired by Mathew 13:38; I couldn't get the idea out of my head. I want to see what it would look like before beginning the struggle of assembling it, but I'm still trying to figure out how. I might give 3D a shot just for this 👀

After lots of struggle, I give you Celine’s new design! I tried to keep some of the colors from her old design, but I changed almost everything, and this version suits her much better (especially without that crazy amount of detail).

More color practice with my oc Alexia ✨

I used this piece as a tiny experiment to use Procreate’s gradient map to paint. It was a bit tricky to get the colors right from the beginning, I had to play around with the colors and whatnot, but I like the result. It was more straightforward than my Celine portrait because I did everything in grayscale and then played with a gradient map. I might keep trying it out in the future.

After all this time, I finally painted Celine's portrait. The sketch had been lying around in my files for ages 😅

It was hard going back to colors again. It took me a while to get used to it, but I like how the result looks. I also changed Celine's design cause whenever I saw all the details I put in her outfit, I felt like I would suffer. I'll try to post a full body to show her new design someday.

Also, I added her previous portraits to show how I've improved; it's a great motivation to keep going!

It has become hard to develop ideas for drawing lately, so I decided to redraw one of my first OCs, Raven, to see how much I've improved. I remember drawing her a lot back in high school and working on her story to the point where I wrote a few chapters. It was a fun little project back then, and I think I'll work on it again for fun.

Hello! Long time no post (again;-;). Life has been busy lately with many changes, but here is a sketch dump for you guys. It's been a way to keep practicing and not get too rusty, though I've noticed my brushstrokes are looser and looser than they were in the past. The Fifth Guardian ❄️

This piece is the first time I have drawn Elsa, and it was a challenge. I've always wanted to paint her, but it didn't look right every time I tried, so I gave up on the idea for years. "Interesting"

One of the panels I loved working on the most in last semester's art class is none other than this one. It was the only one that didn't feel like an eternity to work on or have to end up redrawing the whole thing. This panel was also the first time I ever drew a monster/creature thing, so I think that was why I was excited to work on it. I believe this will be the last panel I post for a while; I want to finish the whole story before working on it in comic form. But I believe I'll eventually post a few illustrations about some things about it. We'll see.
A fun story about this beautiful panel was that after I finished working on the creature and went to sleep, I woke up half asleep to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I had to go through a hallway to get to my room, it was dark, and the only thing that appeared on my mind was that thing's face. Me, being the scaredy-cat that I am, almost ran to my room, and the moment I closed the door behind me, I realized how dumb it was for me to get scared with something I drew. 🤦‍♀️

"Nightmare"

As I said in my previous post, this is one of my favorite panels from the webcomic I did last semester for one of my art classes. It was pretty challenging to work on this particular one since I was still figuring out how the coloring process would work, knowing I wouldn't have much time to work on each panel. I wanted to show the difference between how Alexia looks during the day surrounded by people versus in the night when she is alone and has to face her demons. She's the type of person who would keep things to herself all because she doesn't want others to worry about her, so at times like this, she struggles the most. But she still manages to get through her days, reassuring herself that she can handle everything and that it will be okay, even if the way she does it isn't the best method.
In other news, the semester is finally over, so I'll have time to work on more art (unless I get lazy and spend most of my time playing games, hehe)

Hi, I'm still alive! Since I've been pretty busy with University and commissions lately, I thought I'd show you guys a little of what I did last semester in one of my art classes. The plan was to make a short webcomic of Alexia’s life before joining the Battalion. So I decided to do a character sheet of how she looked around that period living everyday life, always smiling and happy.
