KZN-Three suspects were shot and killed after a confrontation with KZN police in Bhambayi Today.

Members from the Inanda SAPS Task Team, along with Durban Metro Police Trio Crimes, were able to corner the gang - but they allegedly opened fire, sparking a shootout.

Several guns have been recovered.

[Watch] Allegedly this two males in full police uniform goes into supermarkets and ask for the manager.

They then request for a statement of an incident that happened at the store then rob them.

As seen in the video,the man in full uniform takes all the cash in the office.

This happened at a spar supermarket in Rosemead.

KZN-[Watch]A 66-year-old woman was robbed after meeting a man for their 1st date in Ethekwini on on Wednesday.

According to a report by Reaction Unit South Africa ,The 66-year-old victim met the 54-year-old man on a dating site and they both agreed to meet.

Before their date,she went to withdraw SASSA grant for her and her 84-year-old mother.After the date at a dam they went for a meal but the victim requested to go use the ablution facilities and freshen up at a gas station.

After the woman got off the date's car(a white Opel Corsa) the date drove off with the woman's grant money and belongings.

He was arrested yesterday and told reaction unit officers that he spent most of the money at the casino and purchased oil for his car .

Suspect was handed over to SAPS.

Mpumalanga- 30 year-old Pieter Johannes Grobler who was arrested by the Hawks for allegedly repackaging expired and rotten food which is later sold for people to consume was released on R8 000 bail by the Secunda Magistrate’s Court.

According to SAPS, the farmer collects expired food from chain stores and other distributors under the pretence of feeding such food to his domestic animals.

When the team comprising of the Hawks and Govan Mbeki Local Municipality Health Inspectors visited his farm, they discovered that there were two warehouses packed with food not fit for human consumption.

Four cold rooms filled with expired canned products, rotten red meat, and chicken meat were also found.

About 1000 crates were found fully loaded with expired dairy products, including cheese products.

A truck, fitted with a coldroom, two light delivery vehicles, one loaded with meat, and an empty LDV were also found. An intense investigation will be conducted on the vehicles.

A total of seven freezers were found in the warehouses with repackaged wheat, flower, and maize meal.

Equipment used for vacuuming, scales, and plastic sealers was found on the scene.

The recovered items include stickers and pricing machines, which are believed to be used during repackaging.

The accused will be back in court on the 27th of March after his case was postponed for further investigation.

3 people have been shot in College road, Rylands. 2 died on scene and 1 critically injured.

*Westridge, Mitchells Plain*

Yesterday afternoon 2 people were shot dead in their home in Sayed Mohammed street, Westridge.

*Lotus river*: Last night 8 people were shot at a gang leaders memorial service in 6th Avenue, Lotus river. (the same gang leader who was killed Infront of brackenfell police station)

*Bonteheuwel*: 2 people have been shot near bonteheuwel clinic.

*Manenberg* last night 2 people shot in Rio grande street. This morning another man was fatally shot in Tambo village, Manenberg.

*Atlantis*: one man shot and injured.

*Eerste River*: Someone was shot on Hindle rd between Bardale rd and Eerste river Way.

Eastern Cape- A Toyota Quantum allegedly chased a VW Polo, which overturned during the pursuit leaving three occupants of the Polo with serious injuries on the N2 near Dutywa on Thursday.

It is alleged that the Polo picked up passengers and the taxi operators chased them.

The Quantum,allegedly did not stop to assist after the crash,” transport MEC Xolile Nqatha’s spokesperson, Makhaya Komisa, said.

“Again, we warn operators to refrain from chasing motorists. They must adhere to laws and regulations.”

Komisa said the department wished the injured a speedy recovery.

ARREST OF TWO HEIDEDAL FEMALE OFFICERS ACCUSED OF
ASSAULT GBH



Two female officers , a Constable and a Sergeant accused of assaulting a female a 40 year old woman at the Heidedal police station in Bloemfontein, on 19 Jan 2025, were today arrested by IPID.

The duo will appear at the Bloemfontein Magistrate Court tomorrow, on 7 February 2025.

It is alleged that the 40 year old victim was assaulted by the officers following a disagreement that led to the assault inside the police station.

The victim allegedly wanted the police to intervene after her boyfriend violated a protection order.

She (victim) sustained injuries on her body.

The two officers are detained at a local police station and will make their first court appearance tomorrow .

Gauteng- The Gauteng Traffic Police, Gauteng Traffic Wardens SLEU and the EMPD were conducting information gathering around Tembisa when they received information about suspects in possession of fi****ms, driving in a gold BMW along Andrew Mapeto Drive.

The officials proceeded to the location of the said BMW matching the description. The officers stopped the car but the driver did not comply. A chase ensued until Endulwini section, Cnr of Kubheka and Khumalo street were the vehicle slowed down and one male suspect jumped off and ran by foot holding a black bag.

The officers managed to apprehend the suspect and upon searching, 3 black fi****ms and live ammunition was found in his possession. The suspect was later taken to Tembisa SAPS for detention.

Gauteng- A man was caught sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl in Daveyton on Wednesday,05/02/2025.

According to reports,the 8-year-old's mother caught the man in the act and called the community for assistance.

SAPS was called and the man arrested and is set to appear at Benoni magistrate court on Friday.

Allegedly,he attempted to r**e a minor last year December.

Gauteng-The Gauteng department of health has cautioned against the violation of patient and employee rights at healthcare facilities after the circulation of a video showing a nurse at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital being questioned about his personal information, including employment and nationality.

The department has confirmed that the nurse has been employed in the healthcare sector since 2011, holds permanent residency and has valid South African identification.
