*GQEBERHA: 15 FEBRUARY 2025 – Police sought information to solve a murder case that was reported at SAPS Bethelsdorp following a shooting incident that took place at Extension 24, Bethelsdorp early on Saturday 15/02.
It is alleged that at approximately 10:00, the deceased (58) Imam Moegsien Hendricks and a driver was inside a gold-coloured VW TRoc in Haley Place, Extension 24, Bethelsdorp when a silver-coloured Hilux double cab stopped infront and blocked them from driving off. Two unknown suspects with covered faces got out of the vehicle and started firing multiple shots at the vehicle. Thereafter they fled the scene, and the driver noticed that Hendricks who was seated at the back of the vehicle was shot and killed.
The motive for the murder is unknown and forms part of the ongoing investigation.
Police sought information from the community that can help to trace the murder. Gauteng-[Watch]A suspect, Onoshana Thando Sadiki, escaped lawful custody at the Johannesburg Court in Jeppe while appearing for his case.
Sadiki, who is charged with housebreaking and theft under Cleveland Case 96/01/2025, managed to flee during proceedings.

They then request for a statement of an incident that happened at the store then rob them.

KZN-[Watch]A 66-year-old woman was robbed after meeting a man for their 1st date in Ethekwini on on Wednesday.
According to a report by Reaction Unit South Africa ,The 66-year-old victim met the 54-year-old man on a dating site and they both agreed to meet.
Before their date,she went to withdraw SASSA grant for her and her 84-year-old mother.After the date at a dam they went for a meal but the victim requested to go use the ablution facilities and freshen up at a gas station.
After the woman got off the date's car(a white Opel Corsa) the date drove off with the woman's grant money and belongings.
He was arrested yesterday and told reaction unit officers that he spent most of the money at the casino and purchased oil for his car .
Suspect was handed over to SAPS.

Gauteng-The Gauteng department of health has cautioned against the violation of patient and employee rights at healthcare facilities after the circulation of a video showing a nurse at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital being questioned about his personal information, including employment and nationality.
The department has confirmed that the nurse has been employed in the healthcare sector since 2011, holds permanent residency and has valid South African identification.
