I am writing a new book on songs and memories, which will first be shared as a podcast and then published in paper form. The title of the book is 'Twenty Crucial Songs that shook my soul and accompanying stories, with a Brandy Sour...' This will be released in 2025 when I retire and turn 65!

I plan to spend most of this year recording the stories and developing them together as a publication. The first of these is a memory of Steve Harley and the amazing song that drew me to songwriting at the age of 15. 'Make Me Smile (Come Up And See Me) - what a track!

It is an unusual way to write a book. But a chapter and a chiofta a week gives me the discipline and breathing space to do it over the next 20-30 weeks. Here is that first chapter as a podcast
