rip/torn, as a collective, worships the flawed, foul nature of emotional vulnerability and catharsis through creative expression. with this mandate, we launched rip/torn magazine, a Winnipeg-based art and literary quarterly. rip/torn magazine seeks to illuminate and honor the wonderful and explicit beauty of human imperfection. rip/torn was created by Gabrielle Funk and Natasha Havrilenko in April

, 2013. as of December 2014, the collective has welcomed two new members: Meganelizabeth Diamond and Gillian Toothill.
