WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE TRUMP?
This is a possible explanation for why people like Trump, follow him in droves, and are so willing to vote for him.
For quite a long time American politicians have been polished, nice, promised the moon and then got into office and stopped listening to our opinions, voted in ways they did not say they would, passed bills that restricted our rights, and made themselves wealthy. Obviously being bought and paid for by special interest groups.
The two predominant political parties have tolerated those who held their party name but voted against it. Yet Americans have been told that we are obligated to vote for the same people over and over again for our own good. The party leaders became as corrupt and crooked as the politicians and the parties have both shifted significantly to the Left. Today's Republicans are where the Democrat party used to be. The Democrats have shifted far Left where the Socialists and Communist typically are found. Neither party truly represents the platforms the people joined them for. Either as sense of ideology or tradition was all that kept people tolerating the parties failures while continually voting for them.
Then came Trump.
To the shock of many Trump ran as a Republican. The party leaderships didn't know what to do with him, the lobbyists couldn't buy him and he spoke of the corruption they wanted desperately to hide. He dared to represent the people's wishes more than any other politician did. He promised to clean up Washington DC, which made all the career politicians insane. They all knew it meant their job could potentially be on the line if people really embraced him. And those Special interest and nefarious actors in our government were frightened he would disrupt their money train. The loyalties they held with foreign agents, big corporation and nefarious actors would have to adjust toward the people again and none of them wanted it. This included the political party leadership, that had also forgotten to remember that America is supposed to be determined by the will of the people instead of the biggest donors to the politicians campaigns. Putting in danger the beast the federal government became under their terms in office.
To add insult to their imagined injuries, Trump not only wasn't able to be controlled but he dared to keep promises to the people. He lifted stringent regulations, opened up our energy production and supported people (veterans and parents for example) the politicians had long forgotten to care about. These things were what the nefarious actors desired to keep in place for their own devious reasons. He was literally a wrench in their inner workings.
The people loved his straight talking, his willingness to admit that Washington was not working for the people, and it's massive corrupt. Something the entrenched desperately wanted us to not be aware of or even admit to ourselves as being a real thing. But the entrenched actors failed to realize that Americans had already seen through this façade even if only on a subconscious level. No longer could we ignore those thoughts and feelings we had that they were all crooked. Finally, they were exposed. The greater they hated Trump the more we all knew they were part of America's problems. Then to complete the revelation, they targeted Trump, in a wholly unamerican way, and exposed themselves further as the corrupt American hating people they are. So by their own fear, hatred, and love of money they revealed the deep ugliness that runs this nation.
Not for many decades (or longer) has a person or any political figure, been so polarizing. Trump not only made good on his many promises but he actually made a difference in our pocket books and said the parts out loud that we had always refused to accept as how sick our government had become. It did not matter if he was saying harsh things, we needed those harsh things to be said. It validated the underlying fears many people had but would not admit out loud or even to themselves as they voted the same people in office hoping things would get better. Gone was the mealy mouthed professions of a political figure who just wanted us to vote for them with no thought of actually remembering who put them in office, once they were there.
With Trump being so hard to ignore either by his direct and brash speech but also by the constant drumbeat of how bad the establishment kept telling us he was. No longer could they hide how the media all worked together and with those nefarious actors. No longer did their money or double speak hide their collusion with the lobbyists and nefarious actors. Even though the people may not have fully understood it, the fact that the corruption was there became apparent by their own fears and hatred showing out. Trump himself was only half of the equation, their overreaction to him told the other side of the story.
Much more could be said about this man, the situation, and the many things that have come since his time in Washington, but this makes the basic premise of this writing clear enough.
