Magic moment. I had to capture this.

Edric apologized to Edan for hurting his feelings. Edan opened up about certain aspects of Edric’s manner and personality that have wounded him. I know it wasn’t easy for Edric, as a dad, to hear what Edan shared, but he humbly listened and received it. Afterwards, Edric embraced Edan, thanked him for his openness and willingness to share, asked for forgiveness, and committed to improve in the areas Edan identified.

As our kids get older, our flaws as parents become more and more obvious. While it can be discouraging to feel like we fail and mess up when our children correct us or openly share their frustrations and hurts, God can turn these revelations into a blessing.

Our children’s perspective and input are so valuable because they are witnesses to our lives 24/7. When they express what we need to improve on, most of the time, it’s accurate! And if our goal is to become more like Christ, then the best response is not to be defensive or to explain away our mistakes, but to commend their honesty, encourage them to keep us accountable, and of course, respond to their longing to be heard and understood.

Humility initiates the healing process and restores the harmony at home. Amazingly, as Edric listened to Edan, Edan also admitted his own faults. I know for sure this conversation opened up a channel between them that will allow them to be closer as father and son. More importantly, it will keep Edan’s heart tender and receptive towards the Lord. Edric and I don’t ever want to be the reason why our children reject Jesus.❤️

‘ALAM KONG PUPUNTA ‘KO SA LANGIT’

Kapuso host Kim Atienza revealed that he is not afraid to die.

In his interview with Boy Abunda, Kim said that he is sure that he will go to heaven after he die.

"Hindi na ko takot mamatay, Boy. I can die today," he said.

"Kasi alam ko kung san ako pupunta. Alam kong pupunta ko sa langit," he added.

When asked by Boy why he is sure that he will go to heaven, Kim said: "Because I've accepted the Lord Jesus Christ."

"I still sin but I repent all the time," he added.

Kim said that he will go to heaven not because of his good acts but because he trusts the Lord.

"Sigurado ko pupunta ko sa langit. Not because of what I'm doing or works, but I have faith in Him and He died in the cross for me," he said.

If he will die tonight, Kim said that he will spend the remaining hours of his life with his loved ones.

"Pupunta ko sa Misis ko, yayakapin ko, sasabihin kong mahal ko siya. Kakausapin ko lahat ng anak ko na nasa America at sasabihin ko kung gaano ko sila kamahal," he said.

"Pupuntahan ko ang magulang ko, lahat ng tao na pwede kong sabihan na mahal na mahal ko sila, sasabihin ko sa kanila," he added. | via PhilStar

Tips for overthinkers:

Occupy your mind about the things that would be beneficial to you. Do not think of yourself as inferior to others. Invest your time in making your day productive. If you find solitude as an escape from the harmful effects of societal pressure, then take time to seize those moments.

Remind yourself that your time on earth is limited and that it is your choice to live out your purpose and make it valuable. Privilege is yours to experience the beauty of life as God intends you to experience it.

Huwag kanang mag-overthink! Sayang ang panahonng ginugugol mo kakaisip na hindi ka importante. Do not get frightened by satan's lies that might manipulate the real you.
