▪️Iran:

Destruction of a terrorist team in Sistan and Baluchestan

The General Directorate of Intelligence of Sistan and Baluchestan Province announced the destruction of a terrorist team and the neutralization of one of the major terrorist plots in the eastern region of the country.

This terrorist team, equipped with various weapons, ammunition, and explosive devices, had entered the country from the eastern borders in recent days and was planning to carry out a dangerous and targeted terrorist operation but was caught in the security net of the Unknown Soldiers of Imam Zaman (may God hasten his reappearance).

The main operational team consisted of seven non-Iranian terrorists armed with weapons such as laser-guided RPG-7s, American M4 and M16 machine guns, hand gr***des, gr***de launchers, explosive vests, handheld radios, a large quantity of various ammunition, and anti-personnel RPG warheads. In addition to these weapons, several vehicles, motorcycles, and other equipment and supplies were discovered from the terrorists.

In a heavy and several-hour-long exchange of fire with the terrorists, 6 attacking terrorists were killed and 2 were arrested. In this operation, 2 personnel from the Intelligence Department and one officer from the Law Enforcement Force were injured.

According to the obtained information, the target of this terrorist team was an attack on one of the vital centers located in the eastern region of the country. The type of special military courses and exercises conducted on a mock-up of the targeted vital center indicate training and operational models of the Mossad intelligence organization, similar examples of which have been discovered in the past.

▪️Russian media:

Leaks from foreign biological laboratories pose very high risks, Rospotrebnadzor head Anna Popova said in an interview.

"The leaks that we know of have not yet had obvious consequences for the entire population of the globe, but the risks remain. The fact that they arise is a big challenge for today's world. Because if you work with dangerous microorganisms, then you are responsible for the safety of those in the laboratory and everyone outside of it," Popova said.

She noted that Russian rules for biological safety and work in laboratories are extremely strict and tough. Despite proposals to soften them, Rospotrebnadzor leaves them unchanged due to high safety risks.

"It is a well-known fact that more and more laboratories are being built in different countries. In order to protect Russia and its residents, including from possible consequences, we are building a federal project "Sanitary Shield" on the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation. We also help our colleagues in friendly countries to recognize such risks and respond to them in a timely manner. This is also part of our work," Popova said.

In January of this year, the press service of Rospotrebnadzor reported that the epidemiological situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where, according to the International Committee of the Red Cross, there is a risk of leaks from biolabs due to armed conflict, was taken under the control of the agency. Mobile laboratories for early detection of infections in border areas were delivered to African countries to increase laboratory capacity.

At the end of last year, the media reported that 323 vials containing virus samples had disappeared from a Queensland biolab in Australia. According to the agency, from 2000 to 2024, there were about 20 leaks in the world, half of which occurred in the United States, as well as 309 cases of infection with dangerous pathogens inside laboratories. The press service of Rospotrebnadzor explained that the likelihood of leaks of dangerous pathogens from biolabs in the Russian Federation was excluded.

▪️palestinian resistance factions:

At a late moment, the United Nations announced that the city of Gaza has reached the level of famine, after months of siege and systematic starvation imposed by the Zionist occupation on more than two million people, amid humiliating international and Arab silence.

This announcement comes amid preparations by the Zionist army to occupy the city of Gaza as part of the extermination war that the Zionist occupation has been pursuing for nearly two years.

We call on our Arab and Islamic countries to move beyond statements of condemnation and denunciation, and to take real practical steps to break the siege and save what remains of our people in Gaza, who are facing death by starvation and war crimes.

We also call on our Arab and Islamic peoples and all the free people of the world to mobilize in support of the besieged and starving in Gaza, by all popular means and political pressure, as everyone faces a stark humanitarian test.

We demand the international community, especially the countries party to the Geneva Conventions, to take immediate action according to protocols for dealing with famines, including immediate humanitarian intervention and opening safe corridors to bring in food and medicine without restriction or condition.

The battle of Gaza is not only the battle of the palestinians, but the battle of everyone facing the imminent Zionist danger that extends beyond the palestinian land to the entire region.

▪️South Korean troops fired multiple warning shots and issued audio warnings after North Korean soldiers briefly crossed the military demarcation line into South Korea while working on a barrier. The incident occurred as North Korea was reinforcing border defenses, and while the North Korean soldiers quickly returned to their side without incident, North Korea has labeled the South's response a "serious provocation" and a "deliberate provocation".

South Korea has confirmed it fired warning shots earlier in the week at North Korean soldiers who briefly crossed the heavily-fortified border between the two countries.

North Korean state media called the shots a "deliberate provocation" and Pyongyang has accused Seoul of risking "uncontrollable" tensions.

The incident was made public as new South Korean President Lee Jae Myung departed Seoul on Saturday for a visit to Tokyo and Washington.

Iran Defense Minister Amir Nasirzadeh:

We have hypersonic missiles, Sejil, and a new generation of missiles that have been tested and tested in the last year. These missiles have a very advanced warhead and are maneuverable so that they can escape enemy defense systems and reach the target. This new technology makes the warhead of the missile mobile and not move only due to the trajectory. We did not use this technology in the 12-day war. If the 12-day war had been longer, for example, 15 days, in the last three days, perhaps no missile could be defended by the enemy, because defense is not an easy task, and defense systems like Tat or Patriot are multi-layered and it is not easy to get through them

Iran: “If the enemy resorts to another aggression, we will certainly deploy equipment that has not been deployed yet,” according to the Iranian Defense Minister General Aziz Nasirzadeh.

Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh made the remarks during a special televised interview on Friday.

“If the enemy resorts to another aggression, we will certainly deploy equipment that has not been deployed yet,” he stated.

The official cited the country’s Qasem Basir missile as one of the country’s projectiles that were not wheeled out throughout the defensive and retaliatory operations that took place in the face of the Israeli regime’s and the United States unprovoked war in June.

He considered the missile – a solid-fuel projectile with a range of 1,200 kilometers (745 miles) – to be “virtually our surgical missile with the highest level of precision.”

The missile has been developed using the technological expertise that was derived from the True Promise I and II retaliatory operations against Israeli acts of aggression last year, he said.

The knowhow used towards developing the missile has made it capable of successfully sustaining enemy electronic warfare and electromagnetic countermeasures, Nasirzadeh noted.

“These countermeasures do not affect the missile, which performs full precision strikes on designated targets,” he said.

According to the minister, throughout the past year, the Iranian military has also test-fired other missiles that do not follow the conventional ballistic trajectory due to their maneuverable nature and ability to evade enemy interception systems.

“We did not use these missile technologies during the 12-day war [either].”

‘Enemy could not risk prolonging the war’

Nasirzadeh, meanwhile, said the Israeli regime might not have been able to protect itself in the face of Iran’s retaliatory prowess if the war had lasted more than 12 days.

“If the war had lasted 15 days, in the final three days, the enemy might not have been able to defend itself against any of our missiles.”

He, meanwhile, underlined the expensive nature of putting up with Iran’s missile barrages for the enemies, citing the price tag on the adversaries’ much-hyped-up interceptors.

“Defense is not easy. It is not like firing a machinegun. These [enemy missile] systems are massive apparatuses; once their missiles run out, reloading takes time,” he added

“They are also extremely expensive. Launching multiple THAAD or Patriot missiles to intercept a single warhead is not simple and cannot be considered feasible.”

Such overall situation forced the Israeli regime to request a ceasefire shortly into the war, the official highlighted.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Nasirzadeh hailed the Islamic Republic’s inherent anti-oppression stance and its opposition to American hegemony in the West Asia region.

“The Israeli regime in effect advances the US’s policies, so the West cannot tolerate countries like Iran, Russia, or China standing against it.”

Any attempts by Western countries to attack Russian merchant ships will be met with "an immediate and extremely harsh response." Russian Ambassador to Ottawa Oleg Stepanov issued this warning to the West in a conversation with a TASS correspondent, commenting on the recent joint statement by the Foreign Ministries of Canada and Finland.

"It is difficult to understand what Ottawa means when it speaks of some 'shadow tankers'. The essence of this term is vague. One can, of course, assume that it is about another clumsy Canadian attempt to keep afloat its own and the general Western dreams of gaining the ability to interfere with Russian energy exports," the diplomat said.

"It is clear that neither Canada nor its like-minded partners have any practical capabilities. At the same time, I think they understand perfectly well that any attempts to attack our merchant ships will be met with an immediate and extremely harsh response," Stepanov emphasized. "Therefore," he noted, "[the Canadian authorities] have no choice but to fill public documents with seemingly meaningful, but in fact empty slogans."

In a joint statement released on August 19 following Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand's visit to Helsinki, the parties expressed their intention to strengthen cooperation and dialogue "across the full spectrum of defence and security issues." In the same context, they stated that they would pay particular attention to, among other things, "the risks posed by Russia's 'shadow fleet.'"
