We wish you all a safe long weekend. Tomorrow is National Day for Truth & Reconciliation 🧡

The Museum of North Vancouver will be hosting Painting Rocks for Reconciliation with Indigenous Cultural Programmer & Tsawaysia Spukwas

Orange Shirt Beading, teaching about Coast Salish history and reconciliation, and the impacts of the Indian Act on Indigenous Peoples

Events are free all day 10:00 am to 5:00 pm (donations are welcome for programs and exhibits)

We will be having a moment of silence on Monday in honour of the survivors and victims who didn’t return from residential schools

On Tuesday President, MJ & VP will see you at Maple Lounge

For our first meeting and equipment workshop at 9:30 to 11:00 am

How are you going to become involved in ❓

Our VP recently sent in her video for the Fall Campaign casting call

Mayumi enrolled in September 2019 to pursue her Bachelor of Communication Degree

And she quickly immersed herself in the campus community

She joined initially as the Secretary

She wrote her first article

She started working

Mayumi ran and was elected to become the and is currently serving her fourth term

Last year she became one of the editors

We think she’s a good candidate for the Fall Campaign 🙌
