𝗛𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮 𝗥𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀🎭🎓💪🏾In a historic moment, actress and Howard University alumna Phylicia Rashad was named the Dean of the newly re-established College of Fine Arts in 2021. Best known for her legendary roles on stage and screen, Rashad returns to her roots to lead and inspire the next generation of artists. A proud Bison, Rashad graduated from Howard in 1970, and her appointment as dean highlights her commitment to Black excellence in the arts. She has made it clear that her mission is to create a space that nurtures young artists while honoring the rich legacy of Howard’s fine arts programs.

This is a full-circle moment for Rashad and a win for the students who will benefit from her wisdom and vision!

Well we will be giving away free new board games to parents and guardians July 25th 2024 from 11am to 12 Noon at our South LA location - 2010 West 62nd Street LA CA 90047. We encourage all community members that are over the age of 50+ to attend our curated event this Saturday June 22nd at the beautiful Pan Pacific Park from 10am to 3pm. Our event will be packed with mobile clinics onsite, live Jazz, Sit and Paint workshop and FREE lunch for everyone that attends. First #200 attendees will received our lovely Open Arms Food Pantry limited Tote bag filled with Goodies :)
