So, you know how long we've been waiting for a new minimum wage? Well, the negotiations just hit another roadblock! The government offered N62,000, but Labour is holding out for N250,000. Yeah, that's a big gap!

Meanwhile, the state governors are saying, "Hey, we can't even afford the N60,000 proposed by the government!" Talk about a financial squeeze!

The Organised Private Sector is backing the government's offer, but Labour is standing firm. It's a stalemate.

So, what's next? The Tripartite Committee is taking a break, and the report will be sent to the President for further deliberation.

Let's hope the ancestors are guiding our leaders towards a fair and sustainable solution!

Hello Friend,

As we revert to our original national anthem, let us remember that true patriotism, innovation and development are not inspired by mere words, but by the exemplary values of the leadership class. It is not the anthem that makes a nation great, but the integrity, vision, and selflessness of its people.

We must recognize that a corrupt, violent, wicked, and uninspiring leadership cannot conjure up patriotism and development, no matter how eloquent the anthem. Instead, we need leaders who embody the values of innovation, transparency, accountability, and justice.

We need leaders who prioritize education, healthcare, security and agriculture for example, and work tirelessly to ensure that our institutions are functional and effective. We need leaders who empower citizens, promote inclusivity, and foster a culture of excellence.

Let us draw inspiration from our national anthem, but let us also demand more from our leaders. Let us hold them accountable for their actions, and let us work together to build a nation that truly reflects the values of our anthem: unity, peace, and progress.

Be the progressive change that you crave.
Together, we can achieve greatness, not just because of the words we sing, but because of the values we live by.
